Maggie’s door is the sequel to Nora Ryan’s song. I accidentally read them backwards! I think there’s a third book in the series. You made me wanna reread these
Glad you enjoyed Flavia. It didn’t hold up well for me after the first 3. But 1 is a good story. Her sisters and her father make Mama Bear come out in me.
I really enjoyed Out of the Silent Planet, but I agree it's very classic sci-fi so I very much understand why it's not for everyone. And one of these days, I will finally pick up North and South (she says, like she does about every other book she hasn't read yet 😅)
@@pylesofbooks Probably not a bad idea. I use to read at least a few sci-fi every year, but I've barely read any in the last few years and I miss it. I need to pick it back up again, especially modern sci-fi. Some that I've heard are good are Recorder, The Last Cuentista, and Project Hail Mary.
Hello! I hope you're doing well. I've been a regular viewer of your RU-vid channel and I really enjoy your videos. They are incredibly informative and I've learned a lot from them. However, I've noticed a few issues in some of the videos
Book two of the C. S. Lewis Space Trilogy is about Ransom going to Venus and being the proverbial angel on the shoulder of Venus's Eve to convince her not to sin. Meanwhile, Weston is pretty much literally possessed by Satan to tempt her. Book three is nothing like one and two. It's set on Earth, Ransom is a fairly minor character, and it's mostly about a couple trying to keep their marriage from falling apart while the husband works for this organization that is working with aliens/demons to try and take over the world. There's also a severed, speaking head involved, if I remember right. Yeah. If you didn't like book one, you probably won't like the rest of the series. 😂😂😂
Thanks for reading Jayber with me! I agree, we shouldn't have to pick a favorite. Thank you for removing that burden from my mind. Looking forward to reading North and South per your recommendation.
