You can see Pepe start shuffling his chips much faster when that 5 hits on the river. I wonder if anyone else who plays with him knows this already. I’ve seen him do it in other hands too where he’s got a big hand.
That was a pretty big bet by Jungleman on the river. I still think he should have raised, the only hand I would be afraid of would be 88. But even that is unlikely given the preflop action.
He doesn't seem to realize where he's at in hands... His reputation is so bad, people call him lightly all the time. Instead of going for max value... he plays scared.
Jungleman bet $4K over the size of the pot on the river. It's obviously bad to not raise there but that is still a pretty big bet by Jungleman. I think any sizeable raise from Pepe and Jungleman would fold his hand.
Yea but make no mistake, jungle is a pro. He isnt calling a shove with middle flush on a paired board. So he would be shoving into a spot where only better full houses call. Maybe against another player, the raise would have merrit
Pepe showing off his poker skills!! Calling a raise preflop from early position with K5 off and then only calling a river bet with a disguised FULL HOUSE!
I was thinking the same thing. At 9:08, commentator David Tuchman makes a very good point though: _Would Pepe get called by worse?_ I think the answer is yes, personally, but what do I know.
Bad call on the river. I’m ALWAYS raising when I hit my hand runner runner. ALWAYS!! If I get beat, all I can say is good hand and flip off the dealer! 😂
@atheistme9842 How many times did you see a pro player at these stakes raise a 150% overbet on the river and not have it? He will never get called by worse like the comentator said
8-8 is very possible. Even if Pepe raises he will never get called by worse like the commentator said. How many times did you see a pro player at these stakes raise a 150% overbet on the river and not have it?
as catac is said 88 is possible, although he might squeeze with 88 so maybe u count it was 2 combos instead of 3. TT will probably 3bet pre(normal players would do it everytime idk how jungle plays.) and KK will always. Theres a few Ax Qx flushes jungleman could have had and the boats are very limited so I agree with pepe needing to raise there. @catac he can definetly get called by a lot of worse hands, jungle bet 17.5k with 8 high flush so he will probably call a raise to 50k with ace high flush, 85s + 105s boats. Also if he is never calling with worse than it makes this a good bluff spot for Pepe, but he needs to valuebet K5 to be able to bluff here. If he doesn't than his value combos are very limited meaning his bluff combos are constrained.
He has no idea where he's at in hands at all. He has a rep for being incredibly loose. This was definitely a spot for him to go for max value. Also if they have 88 as some have said, that still shouldn't stop him from raising the river and going for max value. Pepe has a horrible reputation for being loose and raising those spots with weak hands. These guys don't know what they are talking about. People call Pepe all the time with way less than flushes on the river. And Pepe's been in these spots before raising with weird 2 pair combos or even when he's missed.
People saying why Pepe didn't re-raise (targetting A high flushes) but how bout Jungle's riverbet size, picked a size where a re-raise by Pepe will signal he's probably beat 90% of the time.
Perfectly ok making him muck a big'n and not getting to see my hand (till later). There's value in just that. And possibly more with the occasional call.
Bro these new chips are such an eye sore I wonder if some one counterfeit the old ones I heard that's why they hanged the ones at Hollywood park damn them if so
Pepe has the worst reputation for being loose. Of course he can get called from a flush on a paired board. He doesn't realize how others see him. He should have went for max value in these spots because he will get called by most people.
Pepe really is the worst player you can find. Hes obviously not very intelligent so where is all the money coming from? Its literally like he just learned poker weeks before. Jungle always looks at his cards like checking suits when his cards are suited and he already got there.
Wow I have seen Pepe play terrible pre-flop (especially tanking before folding absolute garbage) but this is just criminal, blocking the stone nuts. For god sake just bet 2/3rds or even 1/3rd, you are never getting jammed on as a bluff. Thought he might have misread his hand it's so bad
You notice how nobody is interested in anything Nick Airball has to say. He’s a clown. I don’t think anyone at that table has loss 8 million in the past 6 months.
Does jungle ever miss?? Guy makes every hand and wins max every time it seems. He loses little pots here and there. But makes max and loses min every hand it seems
I honestly don’t think not raising is terrible, what hand calls a raise to an over bet that loses to 5’s full? Ace high flush probably lays down after getting it’s over bet raised… and 85 and T5 are out of the question…. Plus u get to see jungles hand guaranteed
Pepe has so much tells and so many exploitable leaks.. dudes just a walking tell while making absolute min on his made and losing the max with his other hands... dudes just a all around terrible poker player.
