just started watching you a couple weeks ago ago and can't stop you are true to what catfishing is all about!!!!! We don't always catch the big ones and that's fishing. Keep the videos coming!!!!!
Hey buddy good video I fish a lot but I always pick up something new every time I watch your stuff thanks for showing it like it happens and not trying to only show highlights of only giant fish fishing is about catching fish all sizes and you always respect that in your videos thanks again buddy from your old North Carolina fan keep up the good work
I don't care whether the bite is hot or cold, I always learn something from your videos. I especially like the fact that you show your approach to finding likely structure. as another u-tuber says, "if you put in the time on good structure, you will get bit". and you have fun with whatever you find, record fish or eater size. thank you.
Micka, thanks for the video. Always awesome watching them. Can you do a video on netting shad using side imaging? I struggle with it and could use some tips and guidance.
Nothing but respect and admiration Mr Micka, for your compassion for the sport. Watching you relieve the that blue of bloat is nothing I’ve seen or experienced. At some point I’d be interested in seeing a video of a “how to”, of those we don’t keep
if you have been getting what we got this last week, that'd make sense why the river came up. The lake here went up 8 and a half feet in 4 days, 6 and a half of those feet happened in the last 2 days.
Thanks for the video Micka. I would take those 3 fish any day as a good day. Have you thought about getting your license to do guides. People would line up to fish with you. It may not be your thing but in a year or two it might.
It’s really enjoyable to watch you. I love fishing and years ago I fished rivers often. After a few damaged props and bent snags I gave it up. Keep the videos coming. Great job. 😊
Good morning Micka, always enjoy watching your videos. I was wondering is there a difference in the rods you are using? Do you have a rod preference when fishing lakes vs rivers? I just built 3 sets of your planers and plan on using the on Ky Lake this week if I get an opportunity!
Thank you. No difference in the rods I use no matter where I fish. I just stick with the madkatz medium heavy rods. I hope them boards work well for you.
Micka are you able to mark catfish mixed in with the Asian carp? I have not been able to lately. Seems like every spot I have marked is just LOADED with them and can't even see the bottom.
Well when they get that thick in areas then its hard to see fish underneath them. But sometimes them cats will show themselves and ill i need to see is at least one.

Where are you fishing and how do you tell the difference between a flathead bite and a blue
Fishing the Cumberland river around the Cumberland city area. A flathead typically doesn't slam the bait. They just suck it in and slowly swim off or just sit there. But blues being alot more aggressive tend to slam the rod and take off.
Thanks Sir! Great Info. I wasn't aware of the Catfish concentration around them balls of Asian Carp. What does yer Rig consist of? If ya don't mind telling me.
@@brucewjourney1175 oh ok. It's simple really. Just a three way swivel that I attach my weight to then a 38 to 40 inch leader. 80# big game. A 10/0 wisker seeker triple threat hook and a Eva float that I get from Ironside catfishing.
@@mickaburkhart14 it could be very different here. I have not heard of shad being caught on our rivers in years. Ill get a video of the carp next time i am out there. Its obscene how many there are. It really is just about the best bait you can find any time of year other than winter. I have very good luck with common carp too.
