Another amazing day on the water that was a tank! I use an odd bait when I struggle to catch fresh. Beef heart seems to work well its tuff and stays on the hook.

I caught a 29 pound flathead on a 2 inch bluegill week before last, we consistently catch 15 to 20 pound fish on that same size bait. We run 8 to 10 roads with different size bluegill and the smaller ones seem to catch more fish big or small for some reason... Got the new signature rod in, that thing is sweet man! Gonna take it out for the first time tomorrow night.

If you fish and hunt long enough eventually you’ll end up with a happening and a story like you had with the bass eating the bluegill. By the way I love eating bluegill.

@@mickaburkhart14 that's true reception is in and out up there. Idk if a marine cell booster would do you any good in that section of river? I fished with one person in the cross creeks area of cumberland city that had one on his boat. Only way i knew it worked is cause previously my phone would be in SOS vs having 3 bars with that gadget...

The majority of my big fish have come on cut bluegill including my largest flathead that was close to if not 50lbs.

I like the bait catching in the videos because it can be a struggle sometimes. Everyone knows fresh bait is king but do ever use froze skipjack. I've had some decent luck on it at times

@@mickaburkhart14 up here in Ohio we use them all year long if and when you can locate them! We are just getting the baby skips moving up to dams they are about 5 inches right now but in month or 2 they will be 6-8 inches

I caught good until the fullmoon went away... last 5 days havent had much luck, you mentioned they are full after the moon maybe.. do you think thats a monthly cycle? I had never put any thought into that but it makes sense

@@mickaburkhart14 Its usualy slow for us in july it seems, water gets hot and the carp are floating then the fish stop biting. I will try the smaller baits and see how that plays out
