I’m so, so happy to be the new owner of this beautiful journal! Thanks Sara-Lee for packing her up well for the long journey. And thanks for creating the most gorgeous journal I’ve seen. Every single page and item has been so well thought out and delivered, the amount of time and dedication that has gone into this is incredible. I was really hoping that the journal would live up to the video, but it far surpassed it! Seeing Sara-Lee’s work up close is amazing, the personal artwork and use of different media really shines through, there’s inspiration on every page. That is a beautiful and very feminine journal. I love the cover. I love the pocket with the framed bird with the see through material. My favorite is the hand dyed blue lace that sticks out the most. This was worth all of your hard work. 😍

@@sara-leearmstrong5009 Oh I can only imagine finding such gems to use in journals. Over here in Kansas USA, I've never seen such wonderful finds. I was lucky enough to find an old ledger book at a thrift store and it was only $1 dollar !!

Finding ephemera is not easy here in the middle of the country. Unless we travel hours and hours away to larger cities, we are usually limited to online shopping.

Your work is simply beautiful!! Every time you post a new journal I’m in love with it! I’ve tried a few of your ideas but of course they don’t come out as gorgeous. I pulled out my watercolors from college and started painting again thanks to you. So relaxing. Here in Oklahoma the flowers have started blooming now that winter is almost over, so I’m collecting like crazy. 😉

Your journals are so beautiful. I enjoy your videos so much because you show all of the details and the fun little hidden pockets and secret spots. I love the old handwritten letters and postcards. You are right about the first day covers. Stamp collectors collect the covers as well as stamps. Here's the explanation from Wikipedia: First day of issue - Wikipedia A first day of issue cover or first day cover (FDC) is a postage stamp on a cover, postal card or stamped envelope franked on the first day the issue is authorized for use within the country or territory of the stamp-issuing authority. I read that some of the older ones from the 30s, 40s, or 50s may be worth something. It's probably like everything--it depends...

Very Nice! I loved it all, what impressed me is the envelop with belly band and small notebook! great Idea, this inspired me to try it. Yes, I do, and seem to gravitate towards Shabby Chic Ladies, and lashings of lace. I live in the Marlborough Sounds, and make things to stop me going bonkers. Absolutely beautiful! I have cut up and used 2 bridesmaid dress I’ve worn, but had not thought of using my wedding dress. I’m not sure I can do it, yet lol Plus I’d probably dye most of it, I don’t often use white fabric in my journals and I didn’t really have lace and appliqués on mine. Now I’ll definitely be thinking about unboxing and using my dress 😂

Aw Hi Michelle 🥰 well, it depends what the request is. I prefer to make them without the pressure of wondering if it's correct! But if the brief is vague, perhaps just a colour choice I might accept the challenge 😊 I like my journals to come together organically and making for a commission stresses me out! I love my tattoo lol I guess I only usually have my hands in the video haha!

@@sara-leearmstrong5009 I can totally appreciate this. I started turning my passions into business many years ago and ended up hating the pressure. Our pastor today said something I love though. As we strive for perfection. When we get something or eat something and we say oh that’s perfect. It’s not really that’s perfect. It’s really the feeling we get of how it’s prepared. I loved that! So as you feel the pressure of it’s right…. Know we are just looking at all the personal touches and all the love you add into the journals. I’ll let you know if I think of color for sure. I just love love love all your journals and wouldn’t mind owning another! They go so fast! Because they are perfect! Lots of love and blessings to you!

I am quite taken with the number of page features and historical ephemera contained in this journal...lots of collecting effort is in evidence!! I don't think I could bring myself to write in this book. It would just sit and beautifully exist. Well done!!
