The Rover Metro - a tin box in it's day hated by me and every other car lover - but that is a beauty worth saving! The Discovery is an ace mud plugger, which would be made better by taking off the front and rear bumpers for a better approach angle. And lastly, if there are only 2x Metro's on the UK Roads, how many Audi 80 Quattro's are there? I bet the 1.8 is now much rarer then the 2.5 - might even be a totally unique car? Look forward to updates on all of these projects - Good Luck!
Looking forward to the Audi project Kev. I have a similar project on the go with a 1990 B3 coupe quattro with the 2.3 5pot. I think I may have a set of original Audi 15" Speedline split rims you may be interested in.
I KNOW those vehicles are old, BUT they're in reasonably good nick; TOO good to be sent off for scrap, I would've thought, but, hey-ho...!! Looking forward to seeing you do some work on them or drive them into the ground; either/or...!!!! 👍😜
I do like the metro Kev, the 114 Gsi was the top dog back in the day and I suspect that one may have been a demo when new as it was a very early facelift ‘100’ with some factory options inc the metallic paint, auto box and a driver’s airbag which was £300 extra on its own iirc !! A nice little car lol
Like the video kev. Looks like you need to get the suspension pumped up on the rover. Front ends a bit low. They have hydrolastic suspension that the fluid needs to be topped up.
Time to weigh the alternator in, not a kicker wire its an exciter wire btw and no just because you have 14v doesn't mean its charging. Btw do Trent have any 12 plate renault masters I could butcher?
The Audi will be worth alot more left on the original suspension original wheels and trims (those wheel trims are rare as hell) get the body work done you'll get a nice few quid back from it be expensive though to do the body work
Not worried about the value, the quattro will be a longterm project that I prefer to have looking how I want, the car has been messed with enough already to not be too precious about originality.
Ive got a audi 90 b3 quattro 20v saloon in red too with a audi s2 front bumper on it the front bumpers with the grilles in them are selling for a fortune now
I’ve got a red Audi 90 sport non Quattro, and a couple of Audi 80 sports, they’re getting rare now! The S2 / V6 front bumper on that one, with all lamps and grilles are fetching £400+ now! Rear smoked lights are also worth a fortune! That 80 really needs to be put back to standard 👍
It amazes me how people just scarp cars that have years of life left n then go n get a electric car pretending they care about the planet. Run ur old car to the ground before buying anything new
