Brings back memories. I owned 3 of these back in the day. The first one I owned got stolen 3 days into my truck driving school so I went contacted the news to try and get it back. At the same time my daughter had cancer and unfortunately we lost her when she was just 4 years old. So another student was kind enough to take me back and forth to school till I could figure out some other means of transportation which there was none. So a few days later, after the news of my truck was stolen. I got a call from the news station saying someone wanted to give me a call. I agreed and live on TV, I accepted a Saturn SL1. I don't remember the year. But I never got my truck back. I finish my trade school, gave the car to my wife at the time so she had a car and a year later, my wife left me and took the car and the kids. So this style truck will always have a place in my heart. Mine was an 86 though. Gutless, 0 to 60 in two weeks.

Gus is a real cutie! My grandfather had a Dachshund and would take him into the stables and he'd overend a feed barrel that was half full of grain and the mice would come scurrying out, sometimes a rat would too. Man, that little dog instantly shifted into another gear and would rip right into those rodents tearing them to pieces!! If was a riot watching that little guy go!! You're quite the tinkerer with these broken down vehicles. It's a joy to watch.

I think they were bred in Germany to hunt sewer rats because of their short legs and strong jaws!! In New York at night 🐀 exterminators get paid by the city to keep them at a minimum. The Dachshund is their favorite!! They have to muzzle them or they will eat them!! There is at least one video about them. They have boundless energy and live to hunt!! They play with the kids in the daylight and become hunting machines at night!

32:01 ford used 2 fuel pumps on those, a low pressure lift pump in the tank, and a high pressure pump in the frame. That cartridge looking thing, sometimes it did have a cartridge fuel filter, and sometimes it was empty, ford used it as a diverter valve for trucks with dual tanks. Most times the filter was further up the frame and was a metal canister filter with the plastic line connectors

Yep, the 86-88 bronco II had a low pressure pump in the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail. In 89 they switched over to just one high pressure in tank pump. I owned both an 88 and 89. I drove the 88 from Las Vegas to Illinois and back without any issues. It was actually great off road, especially on tight switch backs due to the short wheel base. Always enjoy your videos!

We had a 1990 bronco Lloyd 4x2 5 speed manual 2.9 V6. It was the freaking Best! We owned it for 15 years, put over 350k and it didn't miss a beat. In all those years and miles only changed the water pump, clutch and routine rake maintenance, what a Champ. Sold it in perfect running condition and bought an Explorer Sport 5 Speed, should've kept the Bronco ll

I've had many many cars in my 50 years of driving, but my 84 Bronco II is one of maybe 4 cars I still miss. It was a base unit with a four speed, but I loved that thing. If it had 50 more HP it would have been perfect.

@ohger1
@ohger1 Год назад
@@kawaiiplayz8045 The 2.8 runs well if the Autolite carb is rebuilt (easy). The later 2.9 was EFI (my dad had one) and had a bit more oomph. I'm thinking a **small** blower on the 2.8 would really wake it up. BTW, the 4 speed is a Toyo Kogyo box and isn't very stout. I managed to kill one pulling a big Olds in low range.

The trick with getting cars with no title back on the road is knowing someone who will go and do a mechanics lean for you I’ve done that a few times now, it’s not a fast process but it gives you the paper you need to get the car back on the road again, and it’s always worth it if you have the option.

Chris I'll be 40 next week and when I was a kid (like 4 and 5 years old) I lived in Allentown, PA and I would walk down the street to Haldemann Ford and I would sit in the new cars in the showroom and pretend to drive. My favorite vehicle to sit in was the new Bronco IIs (around 1987/88). Watching this video makes me feel old. My first car was a 1994 Eddie Bauer Explorer and it reminded me of those older Broncos and Rangers. I had a 1995 Ranger, but that was after they redesigned them. I have ALWAYS wanted one of the mid to late 80s Ranger GTs in either white or silver with the ground effects and the bullet hole wheels. I have also always wanted to own a late 80s/early 90s Escort GT with the 1.9 and the 5 speed manual (the one with the ground effects also).

You must have pretty tiny fearful badgers on your side of the pond. Ours have two dachshunds for breakfast and a pit bull for dinner... Good video. 🇬🇧👍

I love these suv my friend has one and we bet the pics out of it for years. He still has it out back for doing wood for the wood stove. We live in maine. The salt on the road did it in. But it still runs very good and move good. Just won't take a sticker for the road

I was born in the mid 80s and the '92 or '94 Ford explorer was how I also learned to drive stick shift ❤ 18 years later 99% nothing but manual transmission vehicles for me over the years ❤
