I love that the “bloodsucking lawyer” came with a removable hat and briefcase but to be honest, yeah, I bought it for the toilet. Great review, as always!

Just found my Rex at Target a few days ago and she’s a beauty. Definitely jealous of this set though seems really fun. At 42 this was the first Comic-Con I’ve missed since my 20’s but my daughter and I both ended up with Covid last week so it was a no go.

Fun fact: the outhouse in the movie was actually a lot bigger with at least two or three toilet stalls, one which Gennaro hides in before the T.rex comes. The broken down version where he gets eaten was changed to be smaller with only one toilet seat just like this set so it is kinda accurate(but not really).

Huge Jurassic Park fan here! You gave an excellent review - I so appreciate the detail you went into, and describing the materials used in each piece. Also, I do like this rex better than the other Hammond version, because of the paint job and, the less creepy eyes.

When they do the Rexes from Lost World and JP3, I kinda hope they make them slightly smaller than this figure, since Rexy is cannonically the largest Rex. Not a need, but it'd be a fun detail.

It def looks way better in person than the odd product images they had on the website. Shame this one will probably not see a retail release as I like both colors, I do hope we get a retail re-paint of the hammond rex again at some point though. Even though the current retail one has been very hard to find lol, I managed to get one at a target far from my home.

Niiiice! Glad you got one and great review! \^^/ Strangely enough I prefer the paint job to this Rex over the regular release; to me the deco looks more consistent and solid on this one whereas the previous one looks a little more 'choppy'...like different parts of the legs weren't communicating with each other, etc. XD

Nice review there, Victoria! But what about that paddock sign? You know, the one indicating the T.rex. Hope it's not cardboard. Also, I sincerely hope those colours and models on it are painted, not applied stickers.

I have the original and love it. I do like this one and the only reason I would get it is to use it as the buck or bull rex. I have the amber collection baby and it actually scales really well with the Hammond rex and these 3 would make a great diorama together.

I just got a Hammond collection Rex today, the retail one.... I would have loved this exclusive one for the box/diorama. I would have kept it in the box, the box makes it so much better for me... just don't like the hole on the corner. I probably would have been over the moon if the retail one came with a similar kind of box including the Rex sign.

One thing I want to say is that the color of the sdcc version is more similar to that of Rexy in Jurassic Park. Those who have looked closely at the T-Rex in Jurassic Park will know. The original HC T-Rex color has never been in a Jurassic Park film. It is rather similar to TLW's Doe color. I think it's wrong to say that the original HC Rex is the day version and sdcc Rex is the night version. In the Jurassic Park film, Rexy's scene of hunting Gallimimus is a sunny day, but Rexy's color is more similar to that of sdcc. The question of which one is better is to think for yourself, but if you want something more similar to Rexy in the Jurassic Park film, the sdcc version is correct.

14:49 I would say Rexy was more red in that scene which is why I think Kenner did better with the colors, but Mattel did a pretty much superior job with the playability and paint job.

I’m kinda pissed off that the limited per person was 2. Why 2? It makes no since why they would make a Comic Con Exclusive limited to 2. It should be 1 per customer. Not 2… idk I’m just annoyed because I love the first JP movie and I wanted to get this for Donald. But I still don’t see the need to throw in the Rex.

wish the out-house wasnt made of cardboard. Wish it was TWO plastic pieces, which layed on top, that you could knock over, leaving the broken bits static to the base. To me, that would have added more play value. But i get its a collectors exclusive, so play value probably wasn't what they were going for. lol

@@VictoriasCantina Yeah, they are pretty gross. They are making me feeling sick. Like Mattel isn't doing great anymore. What is going on? Also, I am planing on making a rant about Mattel, something must be done, Mattels quality isn't the best. Kenner is better.
