Jurgen Klopp's message for Liverpool fans announcing he will leave the club at the end of the season 

Arsenal fan here. Rarely do we see a manager that is respected by almost all rival fans, and one that almost any supporter would happily have at their club.

I wanted Klop at United when he left Dortmund and I was gutted when he joined Liverpool. He is one of the best managers of this generation. And what he has done with Liverpool is truly commendable. They won everything with him. 👏 All the best to him with whatever he is gonna do next.

Sad even just to lose him from the league, can't imagine how Liverpool fans feel! Respect big man, hope you're doing okay!

As a united fan, i respect jurgen a lot, and as much as I've hated this man over the years for what his team has done to us, got to admit i'll miss him in the prem. Phenomenal manager who's done a phenomenal job at Liverpool and he'll leave a premier League legend

This man has made watching Liverpool during my teenage years a joy. I was supporting LFC from the age of 10, when Brendan Rodgers missed out on the PL title. Then 2 seasons after, Klopp came and now im 19. Ive seen them win everything and conquer. All the memories made are life long and I can tell my future sons who will support Liverpool all the memories this man brought me. And its not over yet, we still have up to 4 trophies we can win this season...

Another legend leaving, having nothing left to prove. What a ride. Being from Leeds, I have always had a tremendous respect for Liverpool. Ever since Bill Shankly prowled the touchline. Just one legend after another brought Liverpool to where we are now. I'm going to miss Herr Klopp's huge grin and his total, naked enthusiasm. Not a Liverpool fan, but the guy is a legend! Would love him at my club but sounds like he needs time to refresh.

Being an Arsenal supporter, I didn’t have much to be happy about for many years now…. And sometimes, when your club is struggling, you look to other teams for brilliance and entertainment! That’s just what football fans will do. Watching Liverpool under Klopp was fascinating. They brought life back to the premier league when Pep’s Man City was dominating! A Man City team that could sometimes be slow or dreary to watch. It’s just how they play. Liverpool were the exact opposite! They were fast paced, they pressed the ball hard and quickly, and they were absolute relentless in attack!!! They were everything a football fan loves to watch. Their passing was incisive and their defense was strong! I genuinely had to put my hands up and say “wow this team is pure football, this team is very impressive” Jürgen Klopp will be tremendously missed in the Premier League….. watching Liverpool from 2017-2020 may not have been as exhilarating as watching my own team succeed, but they truly were brilliant to behold!! Much respect to Klopp and that entire Liverpool squad. You are everything we love about football!!!!!

This is such a great loss for football, the end of an Era. Klopp is such a likable leader, he was often head to head with Pep, this man had done so many things for the club and for football in general. You will be sorely missed. Always a Liverpool at heart...

The first club I supported as a young lad getting into football was Liverpool. They were the dominate team of that era (mid to late 80's.) And while they still hold a place in my heart as a second team (I now support my hometown team), I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the evolution of this footballing giant under Klopp. I wish him all the best for the future as I'm sure we all do, both as Liverpool supporters and also as supporters of football in general. His level of respect garnered stretching much further than the Anfield fan base. I think there will be more clarity down the line as to why he has made this decision, and while I have my own views and suspicions, I have too much respect for the man to speculate them at this point. I genuinely hope we will see him again at another club in the future and am convinced, wherever that may be, will also be a resounding success. Thanks for the memories Jurgen, you have no idea how much enjoyment for our sport you have brought, countrywide

I knew wen he left dourtmound he was going to Liverpool all he ever talked about from been a Liverpool fan from the late 70s he'said from been young man Liverpool was the team in England wat excited him in Germany people talked about Liverpool and still do my inlaws are from south Germany we knew would go back there I said aview years ago on here he would and some lfc fans said noway not for along time told you he's a legend in Germany and now England let klopp stand down he needs to have a long break from football he deserves it and finally all fans give him lots of respect he's a genus thank you klopp

Im actually sad and getting emotional watching this and Im a lifelong toffee! The prem will miss you mate. You took the Redshite from being a strong side to a legendary side and the city has massively benefitted from you living here. I think we all knew the day would come and that it wasn't going to last forever. But it's been handled in a classy way (albeit probably not ideally timed). He's brought us a LOT of success (and could have had way more if it weren't for City). The intensity of the effort from those sides in '17'18,19,20 was channelled through Klopp an you could see that it took its toll on him. All we can do is wish him well and look to the future. Let's hope FSG can handle the transition well and keep us on a competitive course...

As a Liverpool fan I find this devastating and he will be so hard to replace. He’s transformed the club and created a legacy. He’s totally changed and rebuilt the 2019 team and they’re in 1st place. Utterly amazing

Jurgen is one of the best managers in the world today and like everyone here who was just as surprised at this announcement.. However when Jurgen said he is running out of energy somehow makes me feel that I just found another level (of which it's already very very high) of respect for Sir Alex for managing a club for 27 years with full of energy and passion..

Excellent Manager and I love that he does things his way. Not overly shocked. Thought he looked like he wanted to leave last season but wanted to start the rebuild I think for them. Will be interesting to see what comes next and if there is an exodus of players. I hope not for their sake.
