Thank you Michael, I'm always happy to hear Jussi even if I can't understand a word, the voice alone is enough. I have a tape of the boys singing together whan they were very young recorded by my husband from the radio.
It's my pleasure Helena, thank you for listening I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and, like you, I enjoy the sound of singers like Jussi so much that not understanding the words doesn't really bother me. I have a big stock of recordings from the radio. I listened to Ciarán Mac Mathúna's Sunday morning program for many years and recorded a lot of wonderful Irish music but since getting the internet I seldom listen to the radio.
@@michaelmcgrailengland Did you ever listen to Tommy O'Brien or Jack O' Brien (no relation) on Radio Eireann, as it was called originally? Their programmes were where Des used to record nearly all of his tapes for years. They really knew what they were talking about about. Now we have presenters on RTE LYRIC who only know what their researchers tell them, and even the researchers make mistakes!
@@helenakeane2449 I did Helena but I can't remember whether it both or just one of them. The program featured the old singers from the past like John McCormack and I think it started at around 11pm. Ciarán Mac Mathúna seemed to be a very nice man. He once mentioned that John McCormack's recording of The Fairy Tree hadn't been put on an LP but it had and I recorded the LP onto a tape and sent it to him. He wrote me a very nice letter and ended it with "if ever you are in Dublin drop into the studio to see us" and on his next radio program he thanked "a kind man from across the water". But my main claim to fame is that I was kissed (on the cheek) by Dolores Keane when we were camping in Killarney and she was singing in the town!!
@@AnnelieKruger-ib3gx Thanks for listening. Jussi's wife Anna-Lisa died in 2006 and one of his children died a few years ago but, as far as I know, the others are still alive.

The weather in Korea was very hot today. But I went hiking after a long time. I came back home and uploaded a video of today's hike. Michael uploaded the video like me. Bjolling's Torna Surriento in Swedish is very impressive.
That's a coincidence Chang, that we were both uploading together. Actually I started mine last night and fell asleep half way through s o I finished it this morning, The weather looks hot in your latest video but it was worth the hike, it looks really beautiful. I can't believe the steps and walkways they just go on and on, it makes the mountains much more accessible to walkers. The blossom tree in your previous video were wonderful. was it a recent walk or one that you did in the Spring? Yes Jussi did a great job on Torna Surriento considering that he was only 18 years old at the time.
@@michaelmcgrailengland The more I listen to Jussi, he has perfect breathing. And then he sings freely over the air. The blossom of my previous video is summer flowers, I took a picture this August, and this flowers garden is nearby my house. Yesterday I visited recently mountain is first time to me. With group. It looks dangerous way but very safely in real. This mountain is far 4 hours by bus from Busan. See you Michael!!
I've just been enjoying your last three videos Chang, I can't keep up with you at the moment. Are you back to climbing the mountains again or is the weather still too hot? It's awful here with temperatures around 12C and raining nearly every day.
