I just got into Bloodborne. After the lack of Sekiro Content and over the past two years Elden Ring and its DlC has taken a majority of the Souls Fandom’s attention. Rightfully so, because it is a fantastic game. But before I head into Elden Ring, I wanted to play Bloodborne. I expected a lack of new fan content for it but seeing this along with Epic’s music gives me a lot of joy.
@therecombinant6215 Glad you enjoyed it! I just got into bloodborne recently as well and I really wanted to make content for it despite it not being as popular nowadays bc i know there's still people out there who want bloodborne stuff and at the very least I can do is put this out there for them! I also wanna play elden ring as well but I haven't had a chance to lol but hope you enjoy it!
The emotions you were able to portray for these beloved but deeply tragic characters is just phenomenal. Djura’s despair, Gascoigne’s bloodlust, The Good Hunter’s hollowness… excellent work!
i think there is something beautiful in the "ambiguity" of the final frame. As @GarthTheMighty puts it, the look in the Good Hunter's eyes is the answer to the question, when does a man become a monster. Now. We dont need to see the next part, it's been decided. We know whats going to happen. But also, the ambiguity of what happens is still there, cause for all we know, the "monster' this person is becoming could just be Ghermans next spot, sending hunters to their deaths over and over. Or it could be the ascension. This song leaves me thinking. Did the hunter know what would happen to them after killing the Moon Presence? Edit: Did they choose to fight it on purpose? Did they want to ascend? Or did they not know. Are they happy as they now are?
Man I love the shot of Orphan of Kos as the "Tidal Wave". There's something so threatening and looming about attributing the child of this tragedy as the overwhelming tidal wave of guilt and power that the Orphan is. Let alone the theme of tides given the setting you battle the orphan in and the washed up carcass of its mother.
@cyrwynelius8221 Right!! And the themes of cause and effect in bloodborne. The Byrgenwerth Scholars and its hunters had defiled Kos' corpse, which then cursed the hunters to the nightmare, hence "When does a ripple become a tidal wave". The scholars' (and let's face it, human curiosity) of the Great Ones and the unknown led to the suffering of many and the cursed fate of the hunters.
A comet becomes a meteor when it aims toward our world. A candle becomes a blaze when it seeks to consume everything A ripple becomes a tidalwave when it arches toward all in its fury The reason becomes the blame when one uses it to excuse their own actions And a man brcomes a monster...NOW! -a good hunter facing down the presence of the moon in the dream it made
i love Epic's music, i love Bloodborne, so i am so grateful you brought them together with your amazing art! the style and color of each frame of this animatic blew me away! really good stuff!! ^-^/
This is extremely beautiful and well done, your art is amazing. This needs a lot more of visits. I'm really glad that the Bloodborne fandom keeps standing! 💜
"When does a man become a monster?" Within Bloodborne, this is such a powerful question. For how far is one willing to go for transcendence? How much of the monster within will be worn upon your face? For a good hunter is just a effective monster.
When it reaches our cursed world. When the wind delivers its verdict. When they abandone their humanity. When the earth yell in pain. When the truth is twisted by bias. When they abandone whats right.
So so so so good thank fuck this ended on my timeline whatever the hell you want to call it this is beautiful. Djura's guilt, Gascoigne having lost himself to the bloodlust, the Orphan avenging it's mother and itself... The Good Hunter seeing The Moon Presence and being unphased.
Woah you can't just merge my favourite musical with one of my favourite gaming franchises SO PERFECTLY like that! Completely insane. This is so good omg
I cannot describe the expression I made when I saw that not only there's an Epic-song animatic for my favourite game of all time, but that it's also incredibly beautiful this is more than amazing - the colours, the atmosphere, the execution. I love it I love it so much
The close up of Gascoigne could use a bit more depth and detail but other than that I admired alot of the shots as your style seems more fitted for a landscape such as when we see them standing over the carcass that is to birth the Orphan of Kos. AWESOME WORK Please keep up the Bloodborne.😅
Recently lent my ps4 to my friend so he can play bloodborne. But my god watching this made me want to take it back just so I can play it again. Your art is gorgeous and this song fits perfectly with Bloodborne
Love the Good Hunter’s gaze. Right before it zooms in on his eye he looks uncaring. When it zooms it looks like fear, determination… but mostly sadness and pity.
@@josepharmstrong6502 The way Djura must've felt looking at the burning of Old Yharnam, just imagine the guilt and despair at realizing what he had done because of the Healing Church.
@Mario-us5xm omg the hunter being to mergo like odysseus to astyanax! the hunter knowing that mergo is the key to ending the nightmare and that he should do what he must.
Seeing Djuras face of pure regret and shame hits deep. He’s one of the few who tried to make up for what he had done. Even if it was foolishly defending the beasts of Old Yharnam
I’m fairly new to the game but I’m obsessed with this video! The arts so good and it all fits so well! I’m just wondering, who is the sad looking fellow at 0:07 ?
That's Djura, the guy who shoots you with the machine gun in Old Yharnam! The verse "When does a candle become a blaze" low-key fits with the burning of Old Yharnam and how Djura feels guilty about the part he played in the burning. But also it was a self-indulgent addition bc he's one of my fav characters!
