Fruit loops or whatever seems to be about 1/3 of added sugar, not whole but quit alot. Maybe look at the label you dont need to ask someone who does not know anything about the product. Those food colors can be wierd though. But you can find toxic colors in clothes, hair dyes, which prob.should be banned and studied more. Maybe do episode with color chemist expert or something.

It is depressing when you know what a fruit or veggie should taste like, and then you go grab some non organic stuff and it has like no flavor. It tastes like a fake version of what it should be in nature. We are pretty dumb to screw that up by taking it away through growing methods that will cause that. I wouldn't think it's a good idea to sell fruit that looks normal but tastes like butt, but here we are.

Kelloggs and their glycemic index is where you see the harms they contain.. High sugar equivalent is the trigger for the insulin release in the body, it goes straight to the liver for making to glucose. Bacon and eggs do not trigger the insulin response and therefore satiates for many hours and supplies an energy release over that period when you are using it up.

But after yesterday's processed foods my body feels hungover today when I haven't had a drink for over a year. Here is a tip for poor folks like myself though, if you're going to eat bread, don't buy the stuff on the shelves in Walmart, but the 'French loafs' the fresh bread they make daily because they don't put the same level of 'shelf stabilizing chemicals' as the average loaf prepared to sit in plastic on an American shelf for weeks. I'll buy those, stick them in the freezer and if I'm having bread coat cut it open and put olive oil, salt, and pepper on it in the air fryer until toasty... and those loafs are the cheapest too!

If you are that diabetic inactive person that can’t even run a couple of miles, then it’s poison. Stop blaming the food people, just do things with moderation…Don’t need to run 100 miles a week, but you don’t just walk a mile a week to be healthy. Be fit, strong and eat reasonably.

Candy in the morning isn't necessarily so bad. First half marathon I did sub 1h30min started around noon, legs were like wings thanks to a huge slice of cinnamon apple cake for breakfast. That's just pure fuel for a runner. However, as a TRUE masculine man I make those cakes myself, rather than thinking "baking is a women's thing". Apples were picked from the garden, never saw weird chemicals. As for processed foods, think about supplements for workouts. Like protein powder. That stuff is just as nasty as any frozen pizza or Kelloggs product. Still the "healthy" guys keep chugging their shakes... (that said, I'm sure there are some options that are worse than others but if you are so in need of protein - at least eat it as proper food and not powder)

Dude, candy in the morning is inherently bad… I mean, you’re literally giving the most extreme example of running 13 miles😂 How many people do you truly think are doing this in the morning after their frootloops?
@knooters
@knooters Месяц назад
@@Berticus92 Sure, the example is not an everyday thing, but I'm not the only one that works out in the morning or burns alot of calories during the day - that's not very unusual. That said, I don't really do fruit loops or any of the other sugar coated cereals unless it's "for fun" once every few months. There are more cost effective, better tasting AND healthier options out there. Like a bowl of muesli and milk. Or, even oatmeal and milk if you want it cheaper. My go-to breakfast (or evening meal) if I want healthy energy is 1-2 ripe bananas cut to smaller pieces, and a handful or two worth of raisins in a bowl - fill it up with muesli or oatmeal, add some jam (I use my home made jars), and fill to the rim with milk. You can't beat that, really. And, it's veggie friendly! :) My point was just that there are times when sugar has it's place, and also (between the lines) that people with a sweet tooth (like me!) should consider running more if they want to get fit, as the food you want to eat becomes more useful then.
