The greatest boxer of all time. No other boxer achieved what he did. Hagler for me was the most technically efficient. Tyson was the scariest. Marquez the most professional. Chavez the most dangerous. Barrero the cleverest. But Duran gave everything. He feared nobody. For me, the sweetest punch in boxing history was when he floored Davey Moore with his right. Yep! THE GREATEST.
The way God our dear father loves us cant be compared trough any size so accept Jesus who loves us and died for us to your heart as your lord and savior so you shall be in the kingdom of Heaven with them

@@sakuparkkonen2959yes Jesus is the way the truth and the life 🧬 I'm seeing so many of these comments and it's awesome keeping spreading the good news 🗞️😊
Ring magazine has been around since 1922 ranks Roberto Duran, the greatest lightweight in boxing history number 6 greatest fighter of all time and 3 on the pound 4 pound grates that’s how great he was
@@Robert-qm5so Yes, a close split against a much younger, MUCH bigger fighter who had TKO'd Tommy Hearns. Simply surviving would have been impressive at that stage in his career, and at that weight class.
He didn't quit, he didn't wanna fight out of pride. He already beat Leonard and was forced to fight by the mafia and seen where it was headed. He jus wanted to show you he runs himself. 💯
Roberto Duran vs Marvin Hagler was his first fight in middleweight and he goes to the 15th round with the mest midddleweight and also when he fought thomas hearns there was a big difference of age btw them😂
It's hard to find the words to adequately describe him. Like all the Four Kings of Boxing in the 1980s, he is an immortal legend. He may have the worst record of the Four in bouts between these fighters, but when we realize that he was by far the smallest man among them then we give him respect and honor for the courage he had.
He went to distance with Marvin Hagler, 15 rounds. He got destroyed by Thomas Hearns in a couple of rounds. And he lost two out of three bouts to Sugar Ray Leonard, despite that, he was really extraordinary and fought a zillion fights. He was fierce as a bull. I would love to meet him. All right, who can arrange it?
Yes, mostly definitely should be considered one of the greatest light- weights. Tyson & even that idiot " Mayweather" understands greatness & recognized his skills / craft. Awesome champion 🏆. Blessings to all in that weight class that he fought in. Loved watching them all. Great- champions.
Fun fact. Duran had an issue with over eating amd would blow up to almost 200lbs between fights. He fought SRL in New Orleans and was eating a bunch of Cajun food which made his stomach sour. He was about to crap himself in the "no mas" fight. I probably would have quit to. Watch the first fight and then the second. Its obvious he was jacked up.
I attended the first Camacho fight, and although Camacho won, Duran punches were so hard that you could have heard them outside the Taj Mahal arena. After the fight I went into Camacho's dressing room, and he was physically spent from the bodyshots Duran hit him with. Camacho may have won the fight, but he appeared to be the most physically damaged afterwards.
He's top 5 in my opinion. To be 5'8 and fight and beat very good opponents at 160 during that time by walking them down is crazy. What he and Pacquiao did while being the smaller fighters is crazy.
Facts! Robert Durant was caught using hard materials inside of his gloves in the rematch with Sugar Ray. He did not have those materials and Sugar Ray put it on him!
Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Duran was 5 foot 6 inches tall and fought from lightweight to light heavyweight. He beat Sugar Ray Leonard when Leonard was considered unbeatable, he went the distance with Marvin Hagler at middleweight, he beat and knocked down middleweight champion Iran Barkley in 1988 AFTER - BARKLEY knocked out Thomas Hearns (who knocked out Duran in 1984). So Duran indirectly avenged his knockout loss to Hearns! In Today's World Duran would've earned 20 belts.
Highly recommend looking into his story further; he didn't quit because of his loss, he was in a car accident and the doctors told him he had to stop boxing. Up until then he said that he never really thought about it.
They don’t make fighters like him anymore. Bunch of clowns now. He fought whoever was there to prove that he was a REAL CHAMPION. Today’s clowns pick their own fights giving all the possible disadvantages to the challengers. Period‼️
As a Panamanian I am glad about Roberto Duran's victories, but Lou Bizarro and Davey Moore didn't deserve the massacre they received, those referees were criminals
The guy that will beat Mayweather, style wise it would be hard to handle Duran, Mayweather liked to clinch when fighters get close, but Duran can fought in the inside with the clinch or not.
Great tribute BUT, it was a bit lacking. He was even better than described. He was a natural 135 champ. He dominated that weight class. He then SKIPPED 141, JUNIOR LIGHTWEIGHT, to go fight sugar Ray Leonard. In
Greatest lightweight fighter? I gotta agree. Totally dominant in the lightweight & junior welterweight division. The only boxer that could hang with Duran in those 2 divisions was Esteban De Jesus who handed Duran his 1st loss. They fought each other 3 times (all classic fights btw).
People also forget that Duran’s manager went behind his back and accepted the rematch when he was completely out of shape, working with Don King and Leonard in their first rematch. He still fought but he annihilated himself trying to make weight.
No excuses por favor , cuz in the first fight it could of gone either way , the second fight Duran was fighting good , but in the eighth round came the shameful cry "No Mas"
@@rafaelramirez1507 it’s true, though. Why can’t we admit the truth. Sugar Ray dominated their third fight, and he will always have that over Duran. But Don King was a devious mf-er.
