I think that because it's not only about how they feel but their loyalties (Kate to her sister; Anthony to his duties) that they haven't kissed yet, because it would make them feel too guilty.

The hand twitch when they walk past each other - nice reference to Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice (I have to assume it was intentional). The falling into the river scene is from the book, but Newton played a much bigger role in the book.

I absolutely loved the slow burn and build up, and I respected that they didn’t have them outright physically cheat. Sure, there might have been emotional cheating, but at least they didn’t cross that line. Self control for the win! lol
