I knew then that I would not pursue Star Wars any further. I knew Disney would create a manufacting conveyor to poop out endless content just like they were doing with Marvel. It knew it would be of lesser quality, though I could not have foreseen just how bad it would be. The hiring of Jar Jar Abrams proved my gut feeling right, and he did not disappoint in ruining the sequel trilogy from the start. I saw Episode-in-Name-Only 7 and 8 for free from a family member, never seen Episode-in-Name-Only 9. I never spent any money on their Star Wars except for one time, Rogue One. It is the only movie that seemed to have had any effort put into it. It is not perfect by any means, but it has some good stuff in it...mostly because it is set right in the period of the first Star Wars movie. Anyhow, i only stick with the old stuff, the epusodes George Lucas made. I have not supported Disney for a long time and I do not have Disney Plus either. I haven't missed it.

I love how they're friends for a while, drifting in and out of their busy lives, until they end up together. It's not just a hook up and then, by accident, realize that they're good together. Oh, and they bicker a lot. Because Luke is a mellow, reserved character, he needs characters like Han and Mara who will keep him on his toes and he can banter with. She really is one of the best SW characters created. I sure hope Disney never brings her into their world.

Also, changing the sexuality of a character is bizarre and not very inclusive. If there are lots of people in fiction or the real world who you wish had different sexual preferences, that probably isn’t healthy or tolerant. This is intentionally rude to fans, just as it would be if they turned some gay characters straight and then played dumb about why anyone cared. Obsession with sexuality and “fixing” characters by declaring them non-straight is a weird angle for classic family films. The people who did this are spectacularly pleased with themselves, I assure you. Creepy, social activist, cultural vandals and weirdos.

@@brandonr8269 personally I found Rey to be utterly unlikeable, Finn and Poe had some potential that got quickly destroyed, but still these new characters should have been better explored (but they were just written badly), and the old ones should have been depicted way better in the story...hell the sequels were the last chance of having original cast back together, adn they effin wasted it!!! The sequels will always remain the giant wasted opportunity!

Before satine, Obi-Wan Kenobi had Siri Tachi. Although, I don't know much when it comes to her, her relationship to Obi-Wan, or much of the EU. Despite the fact I don't much about her relationship to Obi-Wan, I do know that they were very close and were perhaps romantically involved.

look at LOTR for example. Frodo and Sam, and likewise Aragorn and Boromir to an extent displayed a deepfound respect for each other, and there were numerous kisses that were non-sexual. With Frodo and Sam, they truly loved each other without romance. They embraced but it was fine because they had a true meaningful non-sexual relationship. No one considered them to be gay, but of course nowadays if that was in a film then everything would go to shit, and hollywood doesnt have the guts to tone down the LGBT thing and focus on proper male friendships.

I've pretty much distanced myself from Disney's take on things, I knew this would happen back when Lucas sold it, Disney was the worst possible company to sell LucasFilms to.
