I’m a guy that’s been lucky enough to create a RU-vid channel that people seem to actually like. My RU-vid videos are highly edited and draw on many years of watching movies to point out how some films are very good while others are very, very bad. (I’m looking at you, Last Jedi). Cheers! These writers go wrong when they try to back story everything, sometimes just not knowing and the fans theorizing is so much better. It's like planet of the apes trying to explain how the monkeys evolved, just ruined the series as well.
Man I'm sorry but what if I tell you your review is as bad and boring as the movie you are critizing. It feels like a copy and paste from many many RU-vid channels.
It’s not actually easy to make a great series or movie. You need to get the best creative minds and talent you can find. Everything needs to work out perfectly, the directors, actors, writers. That all goes out the window when your first priority is cramming as much diversity as possible into a production. You aren’t finding the perfect person for each role behind and in front of the camera, you are just trying to cover every ethnicity and sexual orientation, and making sure there is nothing in the writing or story that offend the most woke people, and then hope it all works out.
Star Wars is for everyone but lean more towards men's entertainment. Now, no one likes Star Wars because it's trying to please everyone EXCEPT its core audience, who is the backbone of the franchise. That backbone is getting thinner and thinner every year
There’s two things about modern Hollywood I’ve noticed and that’s they forget that it’s ok to cater to their target audience and they don’t mind losing lots of money!
Disney has made up their minds, it’s more important to be woke than make money. If after losing billions they haven’t changed their ways, they probably never will. Good for them, they’re sticking to their morals. It’s hard to believe they would do that at the cost of destroying possibly the biggest brand in filmmaking history, but they don’t care I guess.
What’s with all this concern about “adult content”, and being worried about what the kids will think? A brothel? Seriously? Dude, Jabba had more almost-naked women in his palace (Oola with her boob popping out) than the brothel scene in Andor that didn’t even last as long as the amount of time you spent talking about it. Princess Leia was a literal SLAVE GIRL, and you’re concerned about what kids will think about a woman wearing a sleeveless turtleneck dress? I dunno… Star Wars is either too childish, or “OMG, WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?!”
Its actually very sad whats happened to star wars. For those ofnus that grew up with just the original trilogy and had the prequels come out when we were young star wars was awesome. The games were cool, the books were amazing and we were happy with it overall. Not every single thing was perfect but it was all good fun and enjoyable. What disney has done and is still doing is just asinine and disrespectful. The only people who could enjoy anything disney star wars are pea brains who never cared about star wars.
I'm sure "Scargiver" sounds cool to a middle-school boy, but doesn't that mean that the person is just bad at killing enemies if what they're known for is giving scars?
I heard the scene about the banners and was struck by a "what could have been". What if each person in the village is given a personalized banner. Perhaps they receive one when they are old enough to begin helping with the harvest. It's a sign of adulthood. We could see all the villagers display their own banners in their houses, even our main girl. Banners are kept by a villager until they die, when it is burned with their body. This could have been a moment of the villagers accepting the warriors not as hired guards, but as members of the village. But instead, it's just nothing.
Is ironic she says "Star Wars saved my life" when it was obviously George Lucas' Star Wars that had that much of an impact on her, and now she wants to change it? BS
I, as a woman/girl am unspeakably offended by these people and the things they are doing to one of my favorite franchises. I seriously don’t know who they are even making these shows for. I’m a woman and I don’t like them 🤷♀️
If a brothel is an unnecessary adult-theme, then the entire section in Jabba’s palace in episode six is unnecessary because there are women in bikinis dancing.
I think thats a fair assessment, even as a Nolan fanboy, the vision is complete and done well, but I think even Bale himself said he didnt like his own performance all that much. Surprising since they worked so well together in The Prestige but I think comic book like got translated into being loud at some point. Pattinson did a good job of being subtle but ruthless
Disney’s insistence on turning almost all the original trilogy characters into total losers after the triumph of Return Of The Jedi needs to be studied.
They are bad. I couldn’t make it through the first half hour of part one. Not even going to try part two. Pretty sad in todays age of movie making when Inwould rather watch reruns of 24 than anything made today.
What are you? Asking if a Jedi, Sith or maybe something different, sounds an obvious question to me. Jeez you fcking guys are running out things to cry apparently.
Are light sabers good for freudian female penis envy? Set AT LEAST 100 years b4 Anakin was born, most jedi were female? ALL races always had FTL spaceships and robots? Nobody ever was on 1 planet without even a freakin NASA! This woke shit make me proud to be OLD, being a 9 year old white boy when the first trilogy was new i had an AMAZING childhood even being on an OFFLINE era!
I do not understand what it is that Disney keeps announcing when they are going to release a turd? I do my big bussines every day and i do not make trailers or marketing around it, i just dont get the whole concept of it.
But the girls don't wanna watch it. My wife and daughter saw the trailer, with no input from me whatsoever. I even faked liking it. They were like "WTF is this? This isn't Star Wars."😂😂😂😂
when i first saw the timeline with the show "the acolyte" i was excited, because i figured we'd get a cool darker star wars delving into the secrets and philosophy of the sith, i am now not at all excited and in fact deeply saddened to know that this is a high republic, canon breaking story that seeks to insert politics where it didnt belong and completely squander their chance to delve into a branch of lore that most casual audiences wouldnt really know about.
