I think I could have used just a little more of the sax for the sake of a more cohesive piece, but only if it was more ambient. Like maybe if he stepped away from the mic a bit. The drummer was excellent too, but a touch too loud

@@ldp1016 Well it’s the fact that drums are the foundation which usually come first to keep tempo, now with other instruments playing in their own flavor with swings and stuff, the drummer has to adjust as best he can to keep it uniform. Whereas if the drummer started it off, everything will be aligned

Same here. Given I have an entirely different voice and range than these people. The little decorations make it sound fancy and hard which it is. But it's hard to do decorations with a bass voice since it basically feels like dragging a cannonball on your voice while singing.

@@doormatcat i kinda know how you feel, i would also like to do some things that sadly just dont work with my voice. but i just want to spread some bass love, because i noticed that what separates a good vocal arrangement from an excellent one is the BASS. also, check out the Unforgettable Gala version of nobody like U. riffs and runs are nice, but imo what made the song 1000 times better was the bass at the end. so dont be sad, you have your own strengths!!

Learning uke and singing def gave me a run for my money as I was NOT ready for the metaphorical rub belly pat head that you needed to do proper stumming and keeping on point with chord changes on key words. This is skill.

I love this because usually the drums go crazy there are at leased like 5 electric bass and 3 pianos and slowly it gets this whole nother vibe and than the singer gets replaced than that next singer does too, to “fit the vibe” and it turns into a blob

My biggest issue with these tiktok song collab things (don’t get it wrong, I love them and think they are so cool.) is that while multiple layers are added the original gets more and more distant and you can’t really hear the original sound because it’s so buried in the other additions but with these people they managed to have some control. That is great.
