The thing about that stat, is it isn't for doing the same job, it's on average, and men tend to work more higher paying jobs (like engineers and what not) Or at least that's what I've heard

@@BrokensoulRider literally happens every day. I don’t know where you get your statistics from but any simple Google search will show numerous studies of women being paid less for the same amount of work and skill that includes time.
It is a myth. No need to become a woman. Anyone can do math.. well besides the person who came up with the 75 cents to the dollar. They didn’t take any variables in account. They legit just did total money earned by men/women divided by the number of men and women working. That doesn’t consider hours worked, type of jobs, women being mostly in the service industry so they get a shit ton of tips that aren’t claimed, and many other variables. I mean 10 cents of it is eaten up by hours worked. Women 40 to mens 44. Well that’s usually time and a half so really that’s 15 cents. So 90 cents to the dollar. Then account for jobs and such. There’s a lot of women who work jobs for something to do. Like a doctor might be a teacher because she’s married and doesn’t need the money she just wants to be around for her kids and keep herself busy. Also a lot of women are scared to ask for raises. Also I personally believe that I would be more likely to give a raise to a man with a stay at home wife than a woman who’s working but has a husband working a high paying job. I’d want the man to be able to take care of his family so I’d be more sympathetic to him. Plus he would probably push for a raise harder because he would need it. But people should get paid their value. I love women and don’t want to see them get screwed out of money. I just don’t believe it’s anywhere near women getting paid 25% less than men for the same job.
@@Hello-od1xq that doesn’t make any sense. I explained how they came up with the number and the gave examples of variables that would affect the study that they didn’t consider. The study was lazy af. Probably a woman who did it.
@@Hello-od1xq Woman here, dude's right. Women don't work 80+ hours a week normally, because we like our down time and party time. We also don't work in jobs normally that are physically demanding like construction, engineering, plumbing, electrical, carpeting, etc. Also quite frankly, once a month we need full time off because cramps are killer.
We dont make less than men ! We work less hours, work jobs that pay less, and there are many other factors. But this dude is funny as hell. One of my favorite comics!!!!
@@laceyfaulkner9029but its been proving time and time again that they DO make the same wage for the same job. The 75cents to the $1 statistic comes from national average income in men vs women, it doesnt factor in the occupation, hours, overtimes, time off, and several other things.
@@ScottieDo if you're looking at it from a lifetime perspective, that makes sense. But if you're looking at it from comparing annual income, that's moot. Women living longer has similar relevance.
@@laceyfaulkner9029 Im talking about annual income. Its been absolutely proven that men dont make more than women for the same job. Infact some studies have shown that the opposite is more accurate, in 2019 google looked into their employees starting wages to see if there was a disparity in wages based on gender, their results came back to find that women working at google were on average making about 15% more.
This pay gap is stupid and not true. I work with amazing women and they all make more than I do. Because they have more experience. So they should make more then me.
I mean its funny as shit, even though the actual statistics prove the wage gap (as its PRESENTED and commonly accepted) as false. There are a myriad of very good and logical reasons why a man and a woman working the same exact job make different wages....time at the position, time at the company itself even in other positions, experience, ability, how long they are willing to work, if they go above the minimum, etc. Loads and loads of seriously important contextual factors that go into it, and when you break it down, particularly in professional sports arenas...the women make FAR more than the men do. Like this is 100% true, if the WNBA athletes got paid exactly as the men do. They would ALL be paying the league itself for the privilege to play instead of getting paid by the league, because that league has never broke even in its entire existence, its ALWAYS in the red. And outside of sports its likely just as common that women get paid more for working less, just based on the fact that they are women. Women get maternity leave where they are paid in full, men get "paternity leave" but its like a week max and after that no money. When you actually sit down and figure out who makes what and why the is only one conclusion....everyone is getting fucked.
Men make that extra 25 by simply working more. Men and women don’t get payed differently per hour it’s just that men normally work more time hence make more money. Simple. Funny joke though 💀💀
A 6 week maternity leave is worth all that? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard Anyone who misses work can only use a certain amount of days, and get fired for missing more than that. So this is illogical
@@TheSpaceMomma it’s not just 6 weeks, it’s the possibility of multiple 6 weeks. Now some jobs are giving time off for periods. Business is business and it’s not friendly or thoughtful. If a person told u I need you to hire 50 people that’s gonna be here no matter what and make a billion dollar company. Who would you hire? Might I remind you of the “no matter what.”
I also served in the Army with a girl who was a deployment dodger. We came up for 3 deployments and she got pregnant 3 times to avoid going. Men can’t do that, another reason the military are male heavy.
.....While that can be a factor (Especially since women are still expected to take care of the house and kids even though they also work) It's 75 cents to a man's dollar, within the same industries. As in, A woman and a man could get hired in to the same company, at the same time, with the same experience, and chances are she'll still make less than him even just starting.
@@hereisahuman5977 No that is the lie. The whole 75 to a dollar is taken from all men's wages over the course of their whole life and all women's wages over the course of their life. It is literally illegal to do what you are saying and if it was happening all those women would make millions in lawsuits. It's been debunked so many times but people just ignore the facts.

Not true. I work 3 jobs, so come again? I work a 9/80 schedule, plus PD at a psych hospital and private practice. Tell me: how is this less than hours than men? I know males that work less than I do.
