2017: lets make a 2 hour movie for more movie slots meaning more money (ended up being the lowest performing movie in the DCEU at the box office) 2019: 3 hour movie is the highest grossing movie of all time

Can’t wait for Aquaman.

Zack’s attention to detail when it comes to visuals has always been on point. I don’t think Snyder is to blame for the poor visuals. That’s what happens when you bring in another director (Joss) who has a totally different aesthetic style and thinks that brighter colors make everything look better. Zack always knew what he was doing with his choice of color grading and film grain.

*Correction! They did play the Man of Steel Theme-while they SPOILERS tried to revive Supes.

This movie is proof that DC isn't even trying anymore.

The CGI was God awful

I'd give it a 7.5/10 Wasn't great or anything but was pretty enjoyable at times, I feel the characters were brilliant, all of the main heroes were entertaining to watch and I think that's the main reason why it was quite good, Action was pretty cool too at times Downsides are the plot wasn't great and the villain was bad

11:02 Interesting point. My counterpoint is that Steppenwolf is addressing the weapon's destructive power, not it's form. He's holding the missile like "Is this the best you got?" Steppenwolf's battleaxe is far more destructive (e.g. during fight with amazons). For example, Thor's hammer is technically "primitive" compared to Tony's suit, if we're just comparing weapon forms. But in destructive power, Thor's hammer wins.

I thought the score was extremely wasted in this movie, he had his Batman theme, the john williams theme, hans Zimmer themes, and somehow underutilized all 3

To my defense one of the reasons it was bad because of changing of the director. Also, it was rushed, Once Joss Whedon stepped in for Zack Snyder he only had months left for reshoots and post production. If it hadn't been for Zack Snyder's personal issue this would've been a great movie.

What scene were you talking about? With the abrupt end. I don't remember seeing that.

What sucks is you can tell they gutted this film after Snyder had to leave. They played "gotcha" with us by continuing to use Snyder's principal photography in very recent trailers and TV spots and then discarding a bunch of it for the actual release. I hate to think it but... His absence was used to change it... A LOT. If they had reservations about him, they should've parted ways with him much earlier. If not, let him make his movie. No stupid mandates. This was obviously going to be his last DCEU movie. WB should've just let him do it and move on.

JL was totally entertaining...i enjoyed it. Yes, it had its flaws, but its still def worth seeing. Very fair review of this movie.

Fun but flawed is the perfect way I could sum up this movie

If you guys don't remember which scene he talks about with the weird cut, it's the Sewer scene. I had the same thought, like wtf happened? lol

Its obvious the CG wasn't finished from the reshoots. The movie has been all re done. It was 3 hours and to make the movie make sense at 2 hours the reshoots killed this movie

I saw Justice League last Friday & it was a fun & entertainingly movie with a lot of heart...despite some flaws...it's awesome...8.8/10

I loved this movie, i prefer it over the Avengers personally even though i know it had its faults, but these new characters (Cyborg and Aquaman specifically) are awesome. And i love Batfleck and Wonder Gal....

That line when Steppenwolf said primitive beings...that also the guy who was fighting amazoniens trowing arrows at him the day before.

This is such a great great review. I agreed with you on a lot of points but you are able to verbalize the criticisms much clearer than me. I liked this movie more than I expected but had similar problems with the plot and villain.

Danny Elfman's score is great. He brings back his Batman theme, Williams' Superman theme, Zimmer's Wonder Woman theme, and yes he does bring back Zimmer's Man of Steel theme (you hear it start after the doors open on the Kryptonian ship). :D

This movie proves that critics should be taken with a grain of salt, i just saw it and thought it was very good.

The movie is good but, like you said, i don't like this WB politics of cutting movies and release it for home video 5 months later with 30 minutes more added. (And i hate the fact DC Extended Editions come only in blu-ray and 4K. For people like me who prefer watch movies on laptop computer wearing headphones, DVD is still the favourite choice. Laptops are still sold with integrated DVD players, not blu-ray players). Speaking for the soundtrack, thank goodness they bring back Danny Elfman providing some orchestral music and old memorable Bat-themes and Supes-theme. I like alot The Dark Knight, but i always felt the Zimmer soundtrack is lacking epicness. John, if you haven't seen it, watch the Bat-pod scene with Elfman music. I was discussing this movie on my channel and I've heard many similar things about it. Apparently they cut out a ton of scenes to move things along and some said the CGI looked bad. There was also endless complaining about the Superman mustache. It's like they took the Suicide Squad approach to changing things around. I don't mind dark, but it has to be done the right way. The Dark Knight Trilogy did it right. Many didn't like the Man of Steel approach to darkness. It's all about style. So what part of the movie did you enjoy the most?

Gotta say, Flick Pick gives great reviews. I've seen him in collaborations with Stuckmann, but he's awesome on his own.

This iteration of batman was so bad. He starts calling Alfred in front of a criminal like if its nothing then he just leaves him there. He exposes his identity to every one and the "well something's bleeding " line was the worst line in the whole movie

One of the things that were cut from the movie was character development for Steppenwolf.

Dunno, opening weekend income might have also to do with Thor: Ragnarok coming out just before JL. Also, from a business owner (in Europe, might be different elsewhere) point of view, people on monthly salaries get paid on 25th of the month. It is vehemently visible in sales here, if you had released one week later, there would have been many more people with the available cash on hand. Just some thoughts i had on this topic ;)

If you walk into the theater expecting to dislike this film, JL will not let you down. The CGI looks like Forest Gump. However, if you walk into the theater wanting to like the movie, JL will give you plenty of reasons to absolutely LOVE it.

My inner chubby kid began smiling from Wonder Woman's speedy bullet blocking scene to Flash and Sup's super-mega-race. Just look away from the tomatoes. Its a fun movie.
