Am I the only one who thinks the DC movies are bad mostly because they don‘t LOOK good? I really hate this „300“ Snyder aesthetic, where every big action setpiece looks like stripped right from a mediocre game trailer... Like, look at the trailer, at the action scenes. Why is everything so red and empty? It all looks so unreal. This is not comfortable to look at... Just my 2 cents

I have a feeling that the banter among the three of them during this 13 minute review is better than the chemistry among the superheroes in a two hour movie. And, also, why is Ben Affleck's face so bloated? What's with the Dad bod? Is he playing Batman or a bad version of Fred McMurray in "My Three Sons"? He looks awful. I guess the Batsuit is just a full-body girdle for him, now.

I thought I was the only one who noticed how....different they shot Wonder Woman here compared to her solo movie (that one was shot by a woman). We first have a upskirt/ crotch shot in her earliest scene, smash cut to her butt and then lots of more tight clothes, butt and clevage afterwards. Definitely a Snyder movie.

Stop it with the male gaze. Ben Affleck and Superman and Aquaman had many shirtless shots so where are you when that happens. Also if you didnt know comic book hero characters are the pinacle human example and they are almost perfect in terms of strength, fighting ability, brains and sexyness. Fans dream to be these characters in terms of power and sexyness. Sexyness is a normal human trait of wanting to be desired and to desire someone attractive. It's biology to look at someone if they sexualy attractive which equals a healthy partner and result to a healthy offspring.

As a huge DC fanboy that absolutely HATED and LOATHED MoS and BvS this was a massive improvement over them at the very least. Yes it still had too much Snyder crap, yes it honestly wasn't particularly mind blowing, but it was the movie we needed in order to fix A LOT of the problems Snyder created. This essentially wipes the slate clean so that hopefully now they can just focus on making actual good movies. Plus there absolutely were some fun moments and it was the best in all 3 movies that Superman has been.

You all said some nice things, and Matt even increased his score (get off the sauce), but this garbage still didn't get much more than that?! HA!

I can't believe they let Snyder direct 3 bad movies. He better not be back for another one. He's another Michael Bay, George Lucas - Successful directors who couldn't direct traffic.

I 100% agree with everything Alonso said... this movie is a mess. the editing is so choppy!!! the pacing is so wrong, and the villain is weak AF!!! Don't even get me started on the CGI....... I'm not a Synder hater or a DC hater-- I did not went in with high or low expectation I just hope for a decent movie-- and i'm still disappointed.

I walked out of the theater with a smile on my face. That's all I ask for when I go to the movies...

Superman is not boring. This is the best Superman in the DCEU.

The question in my mind is 'How in hell does Zack Snyder keep getting hired for these movies?' He likes explosions, hard-to-see action sequences and sexualizing female characters and has no absolutely clue when it comes to character development and dialogue. Yet he keeps getting these plum directorial jobs. How come?

My biggest complaint was with the CGI and Green Screen effects. One minute, the effects were fine, other times it had some of the worst I've seen in a super hero movie.

There are 11 minute episodes of SpongeBob that have more of an emotional impact and better story arcs than Justice League. And I'm being serious, I personally think the early episodes of SB are actually pretty amazing

i give it a 7.85/9 superman got brought back to life by a "motherbox" and there are no lanterns or martian manhunter. deathstroke and lex luther are at the very end and flash has a race with superman. so there you have it folks.

Christy said the Avengers had a lot of chemistry and character development. Obviously she ignored that Thor was as pointless as Aquaman is here, and Cyborg actually had way more character development than black widow and hawkeye put together. They introduced a mind control trope just because they didn't have enough for Jeremy Renner to do!

imo, because DC tried to make it an 'actual' movie than a 'funnily entertaining' movie, most people who doesn't read into comic that much, would think that 'Superhero' is supposed to be a fun movie, not a comment about political issues, psychlogy, child trauma, etc(not to say that Marvel didn't have those, but it's highly downplayed and even the villains were defeated by the means of comedy). Therefore, the standard on this DC movies are different than the Marvel movies, because now critics would expect an 'entertaining' movie that can be enjoyed by anyone. That being said, WB also fails to impress me with their 'direction' of this DCEU, if it was made in competence like Nolan's Batman, not rushed like this DCEU, it would be a much better. Still, after a mess that is the production issue, directorial change, a WHOLE LOT of trimmed scenes, it turns out better than expected (tbh I expected it a lot closer to Fantastic Four-level of horrid). It's nowhere near great, but it's at least serviceable. Justice League is supposed to be a hyped phenom, but it turns out what it turns out to be. I'm not mad, a solid 7 for me. Also, I rated Wonder Woman an 8, while half of Marvels are 9 and 10 lol. Maybe I just want comic book movies to be good from both sides, idk why people likes and wishes their 'opposing' side to have a horrible movies. Don't they want like...a good movie regardless of the franchise?

I'm sorry guys. I can't take you seriously after you failed to evaluate the enormous problems in The Last Jedi.

I saw this afternoon in IMAX 3-D in Chiang Mai Thailand and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre was packed and everyone there also seemed to enjoy it. Of course, we aren't "cinema critics" and have no need to dissect and analyze everything to death. I think it is safe to say that 99% of moviegoers could care less who directs a movie, let alone has a raging hard-on against any director. Out in the lobby were cos-players dressed up like the Justice League members, which was a nice touch. The young women dressed up like Wonder Woman was soooo adorable :-)

I'm with Matt on this. I think Joss Whedon SAVED this movie. If he didn't step in, this is gonna be another BVS mess. Having said that, it's a fun movie. Critics are gonna hate because they will keep comparing it with mcu which had the edge of fleshing out the characters across 20 over films.

Aquaman will bring the DC movies back to a 100 % rating on Rottentomatoes. And by that I mean Aquaman+ BvS + Suicide Squad+ Justice League rating = 100

I am with Matt Atchity, with some Alonso included. Ok who did not expect (Yes I know this is a Marvel reference) Steppenwolf to say, "Steppenwolf smash"? Maybe Steppenwolf was just a device to get Darkseid into the DCEU because Steppenwolf certainly was not the smartest villain who ever tried to destroy Earth.

I just watched this movie and it's not nearly as bad as critics made it out to be. After watching it I checked rotten tomato's and the audience scored 83% while the critics gave half! I give this movie a 7 out 10 don't regret watching it at all.

Really, really tired of people saying superman is difficult to write. He’s really not. How do you think we were able to get a very successful superman TV show running for 10+ years? It’s because superman is not difficult to write in the right hands. Also, the guy who keeps giving this movie props where the flash is concerned… I am just ever so slightly doubting his intelligence. The guy is looking at the flash and his performance by himself… Which to me wasn’t even remotely entertaining, but whatever… And not looking at how he messes with the characters he played alongside. Which is actually terrible. Not only that, it doesn’t even work by itself because of the fact that this isn’t how Barry Allen is supposed to be. I’m not even looking at the TV show to compare… I’m looking at the character in general. He was trying Way, way too hard to be funny and charming and came off as really annoying.

I'm so glad Christy brought up the camera movement/angling of Wonder Woman, because i feel like that is something that will get looked over in the grand scheme of things

You all hate it and that's fine. But the thing I don't get is why all the love for below average dull Marvel movies? Homecoming was the shitiest movie I've seen this year. No good action, stupid iron man chameo, no uncle Ben... The earlier Spider-Man movies were much better. Even Spider-Man 3 and the amazing Spider-Man. And people kind of gave guardians of the galaxy vol 2 a mixed reaction whereas I think it's the best superhero movie this year. I mean I dislike MCU but I admit I loved it. At had an emotional gravitas and a good villain

My problem has always just been that this is a really lame justice league lineup. I admit I'm really married to the old DC universe JLA, but let's be real, that's because those were great comics and the New 52 lineup this film is based on is utter trash. No Martian Manhunter? No Plastic Man equivalent? What the fuck is Cyborg doing here, isn't he supposed to be in Teen Titans? We're really going to such absurd lengths to make fucking Aquaman seem cool? I just don't see these characters gelling that well. There was a sense of legacy and genuine camaraderie with those characters that by contrast just make me see a bunch of people in strange outfits standing next to each other in places. Of course it doesn't help that Batman and Superman completely fail to live up to their comic book equivalents, and that's a pretty huge problem.

99% of reviews are useless... even this one. Notice how this panel take time to differentiate what's Zack's and Josh's. I wish that I could sit on the panel with them live while they are being so critical. At the end, I would probably tell them to make their own film. It's amazing to me that Marvel movies can do no wrong, and DC movies can do nothing right. We read comics too. My company had a seminar this week. The temperature in the room was fine. But some bitched about the temperature and some thought it was great. Watch the movies for yourself. Most critics look at films with tunnel vision.

A forgettable film overall - not bad but not good either. The humor was forced, the characterization weak, and the story underwhelming. WB/DC should have taken chances to give Justice League a more distinct identity but instead they wanted to do a paint-by-numbers superhero film with weakly-defined characters and a dull enemy.

Totally disagree I never felt Avengers had chemistry.

I think the first hour of this movie is great. It fell apart after the team made a morally questionable decision.
