Justice League Unlimited 3x7 Reaction (Patriot Act) 

It's hard to do street-level heroes properly, but this is one of the few times where they not only got it right, they excelled.

the justice leaguers who fight the general in Metropolis are all members of the seven soldiers of victory in the comics, one of DC's first superhero teams. Green arrow Speedy Crimson Avenger Vigilante Shining Knight STRIPE (who whilst a member went by Stripsey) Stargirl - who was not a member herself but represents her predecessor Star Spangled kid, who was one. Outside of the previously mentioned star spangled kid, the other missing member is Crimson Avenger's sidekick Wing (because despite the name there were 8 members total). Likewise the group of children in this episode are clearly based on the Newsboy Legion, a group of children that would assist the golden age Guardian. The use of these golden age characters ties in with the episode's defence of the relevance of the golden age idea of a pure hero (with the general representing those who scoff at the idea as being outdated). Likewise they make stargirl somewhat cynical during the parade because as previously mentioned she's the odd one out, not being from the golden age of comics like the others. Speedy in the episode shares the same design and voice actor as his teen titans cartoon counterpart. This does not however mean they are the same version as teen titans is set in a separate continuity. It is simply a nod to the show. Spy smasher is a character originally owned by Fawcett comics but later acquired by dc alongside the other Fawcett characters like Shazam/ Captain Marvel

Fun fact: General Eling is voiced by J.K. Simmons the same guy who played Jonah Jameson in Toby Maguire Spiderman movies. Also speaking of Spiderman Movies, Green Lantern's voice actor Phil Lamar can be seen in Spiderman 2 during the train scene.

A kids show teaching kids about politics of power, duty, and the paranoia of extreme nationalism? Yes please! My old shows were so good at actually teaching interesting lessons to younger audiences. 10/10 episode!

Crazy how the general was reading a super old report from WWII and got the idea to get powers💀. And not even for good technically, to take down the Justice League🤡. Bro was literally in a hating mood and decided to attack the parade for heroes😂, he might just make that list. He also was feeling real confident because the heavy hitters weren't there, and a bit delusional because he was fine with killing civilians for "the greater good"😵‍💫. We need to either get him some help or lock him up somewhere fortified 💪😎.

It's cool to see what happened to cadmus after all that happened on season 2, especially Waller

This is my personal favorite episode. Vigilante and Shining Knight are my Brotp.

If you think about it It's basically an avengers episode It starts with a super soldier serum plot from the ratzis, in a project called captain ratzi, which nod to cap, but that's basically how red skull was made General eiling using the serum to solve a problem that don't exist by becoming a hulking creature and going after a hero he considers a menace (basically general thunderbolt ross becoming the red hulk and going after hulk) Sir justin - thor Vigilante - cap Stripe - iron man Stargirl - ms marvel Green arrow - hawkeye They all get their ass beaten badly just like the avengers

Every hero in this episode was a team called the seven soldiers of victory who showed up in stargirl

Eiling wants to get his pictures of that menace Superman. His appearance is loosely based off the villain 'Shaggy Man' of course now everyone sees 'Gray DC Hulk'. Great ep focusing on the street level heroes as the show intended.

That General really hates Superman, but in the comics he had brain cancer and he put his mind into a creature known as the Shaggyman and I wonder what happened to him after this.

Eileen literally turned himself into a reverse hulk purple skin with green shorts opposite of the marvels incredible hulk with his green skin and purple shorts. After reading a report about how the nazis were going to create their own super soldier "capitan nazi" lol 😆 they were low key making knock off versions of the hulk and Capitan America 😂

In DC all legends like King Arthur are not legend, they are fact

From the heroes like Green Arrow, Speedy, Crimson Avenger, Vigilante, Shining Knight, STRIPE, and Stargirl can still be strong. If they don't win in all of the battles, they still won't give up with or without Superman's help. And for General Eling to lose it like so, oh boy. You can't win it all sometimes, I guess.

We should have gotten Spider-Man to fight him. I know he’s from another dimension, but Spidey would do great against JK Simmons.
