In this video, I sketch a paradigm I'm working on in my book, "The Justified Totus", for understanding justification. My hope is that this provides some clarity to the Protestant-Catholic dialogue, but also that it helps you rest in Christ and delight in your inclusion into the great and precious promises we have in him. I hope this is a help to you!

If you are an heir of Abraham, you are fully forgiven! You are fully united to Christ! You fully share in the merits of Christ! Amen!

What a great video, Sean! I found it very helpful how you portrayed justification within the grand Biblical framework. It's also heartwarming for a Danish Lutheran to hear someone from across the ocean and a different church body share so much of how I view justification. The rich and deep overlap many Protestants have regarding justification is so profound.

Hi Sean. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into these videos. I'm a Protestant who has been thinking about Catholicism for the last few years now. A couple of questions: 1. Have you read James Prothro's book - A Pauline Theology of Justification (and if so, what were your thoughts)? 2. This might be a bit hard to respond to over a youtube commbox but how do you tend to think about passages like Rom 4:22 (where Paul - prima facie - seems to be tying the counting of faith as righteousness to the God-pleasing nature of Abraham's faith) and 2 Cor 3 (where I interpret Paul as connecting the writing of the law on the hearts of people with distinguishing the new covenant as a ministry of righteousness as opposed to condemnation)? Happy to discuss over email, though would expect that you may not have time for that, so no worries if that's the case! :) ?

I am ex rc, currently have the choice between a reformed presby church or baptist, so I am going reformed presby. Would pref more liturgical tradition such as Luteran or gafcon but what can we do. At least I believe in reformed theology

Absolutely phenomenal. I made a video with a LOT of similar themes in my video about Justification and the Cross.

Hi Sean, I really appreciate your content dealing with justification. As a confessional Lutheran, I find myself agreeing a lot on your view of justification. What are some of the sources that you have read that have shaped your thought on this view of imputation, against the infused model?

What resources would you recommend for discussions on the role of works and how many works are necessary for salvation? You made a video rebutting Trent Horn, I haven't read your responses in books before...you were saying its not about how many works but what type of works...where did you find this teaching? It sounds really interesting and I would love to learn more.

Hi Sean, I am from the UK and I am studying theology as an undergraduate, your videos are really good and helpful! Thank you so much. I was wondering what sources you have beneffited from to conclude that Jesus' obedience isn't imputed onto us but his status?
