Trust me... we have a fan base, but not in LA. We don’t come to the games as a silent protest to Spanos, but there are many of us across America. Personally, I know many neighborhoods of people in the Southern California area who are huge Chargers fans.

I agree with all of his points. Definitely the one about needing a coaching change. I LOVED Lynn when he first got here, but the playcalling recently has been HORRENDOUS!!! My pitch for a new HC would be the Panthers Off. Coordinator Joe Brady. He was at LSU last year to help Burrow set a record breaking offense & as of right now (week 8) the Panthers are ranked 3rd in Passing yds (2,109) & 4th in completion percentage (70.9%) along with currently being ranked 8th in rushing (885). @@twister7466 lol I used to live right down I-15 from the Murph, I’d open my window and we could hear the roar of a reception 3sec before it got through the TV broadcast. Herbert is better. Google “pass block win rate” and look who’s parked at #32, when he throws it’s either an arm sticking up out of a crowd of rushers before he gets hit, or he’s already scampered out and throwing on the run. I’ll guarantee you, we get anything like a reasonable injury situation on the OL (a pick or two wouldn’t hurt) and we’re in a dogfight with KC for the division - in what’ll be the best division in football.

He really does look like a different player than he was at Oregon. With that being said don’t dog Oregon for bringing him down, if it wasn’t for Oregon there was a chance he would’ve never made it on the big stage. Coming out of high school they were his only FBS scholarship and it was largely because he was from Eugene. I hate some of TT drafts pick but he did his homework on Herbert. I followed up with the story and knew Herbert was the pick. Herbert talked about multiple interviews with the Chargers and how the Chargers were very impress with his interview. They even said if Tua was available they wouldn't had passed up on Herbert.

As a die hard bolts fan, I never thought Herbert would fill the hole in the heart that Rivers left when he went to Indy. But somehow he has and I almost feel bad more not missing Rivers more. I just hope we don't fuck up his progression. I also hope Spanos doesn't cheap out on a new head coach like he always does if we fire Lynn.

I can’t wait for the future our franchise with him as our QB and the squad around him. I just wish the jackboys were still in San Diego. Justin would be the talk of the town down here⚡️

at first, i was upset when we drafted Herbert bc i wanted Simmons, but man im glad he proved me wrong. honestly, i hope to god we have a bright future bc theres so much potential in this team, but we simply find ways to lose. In 2004-2009, we had so many chances for a SB run, and the amount of good players we had was unbelievable. If we ever get the coaching staff, we’re going to places, but time will only tell.

Big Duck fan here, have lived in Eugene 25 years and I know Justin and the team well. The four biggest reasons why there was doubt about Justin # 1 Justin had three head coaches in 4 years, and a O.C that just didn't use him correctly. #2 Our receivers at Oregon were not blue chip, like so many top programs. #3 Oregon loves to run the ball. #4 His mechanics have improved %100 since being coached at the pro level. Justin always made the hard throws, it was the easy ones he had problems with. That being said, when Mario Cristobal said he's the best QB he's been around I didn't know if he was being honest, or just protecting Justin. Now I know he was being honest, boy do I know.

As a lifelong Charger fan, I am so hyped for the future with this kid. This guy will be the best QB in the league within the next 5 years, so now we just have to have faith in the front office. They have failed us plenty in the past, but now that we have a GREAT QB, they should know to go all-in on our secondary and our special teams. Lynn needs to go too... if we do all those things, we’ll be in the Super Bowl.

Coming out of college, he reminded me of Mitch Trubisky, but like, turned up to 11. He looked fantastic some games, with great mechanics and decision making, and then in the next game it was the exact opposite. This pattern showed up time and time again in his college career. To be honest, I laughed when the Chargers drafted him because I thought it was the most Chargers thing to do, but I've been eating my words. He looks great. If not for Harrison Butker's balls of steel, my Chiefs would've lost to him. I guess it works out because Harrison Butker hasn't been the same since that game. Like he used all of his talent as a kicker to win that game for us (like 4 times) and has none left, haha.

Honestly, depending on how Tua performs, this might be the best QB draft class we’ve seen in a long time. Herbert looks like a stud despite being thrown in unexpectedly. Burrow is singlehandedly carrying his team. (He may have weapons but his O-line is atrocious and he has an awful defense.) And this is all taking in the fact that neither of these guys have had a normal offseason to prepare for their starting roles. These guys are so exciting to watch

Justin Herbert is the future man He’s got that mariota leadership but the Russell Wilson play. I’m not saying he’s as good as Russ right now but I’m saying his style of play. Insanely accurate but also can run if needed too. Always good to have in his back pocket

I think the biggest diffrence from college to now in the NFL is his consistency. I've seen him making incredible plays at Oregon and then just be of by a wide margin on the next throw. His mechanics and footwork were so diffrent from play to play but so far I haven't really seen that in the NFL

I honestly think this is a classic Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning thing going on. Joe Burrow has every accolade out of college that Manning had, was 1st pick, and plays at a high level right now. Justin Herbert on the other hand.. Well like Brady, got negative reviews. Lacks accuracy, cant move as much, IQ was in question and etc. Now we see Herbert balling out Burrow and has legit chances of getting ROTY. I, for one, am very excited not only for my Chargers with Herbert but for the whole league in general. Burrow vs. Herbert will be an exciting matchup to watch for the next couple of years and all I can say is .. GO BOLTS ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️

Herberts IQ was never in question. Dude was a biology major with a 4.01 GPA. Also the analogy doesnt really make sense. Brady was a 6th round draft pick and was on nobody's radar. Herbert was still drafted 6th overall so its not like everyone was saying he was gonna be a bust. There were also plenty of scouts that were very high on this kid.

I knew Justin Herbert was to be the next Chargers QB the moment I saw him play in both the PAC 12 championship againts Utah & in The Rose Bowl againts Wisconsin. He reminded me of Phillip Rivers in some ways & in others not so much. But I knew that his play style would suit the Chargers offense since the Chargers offense is made for guys like him.

Herbert is great. I agree, I like Lynn. However, I can't help think how much better the team could be with coach Sean Payton and his staff. If all our players were healthy, we definitely go to the playoffs. Yet with Sean Payton, I think we could go to the playoffs with the state of the team as it is now. And I would definitely have better hope for the future. I bring up Coach Payton's name because it was rumored he would want to go to LA after Drew Brees retired. Tbh I can't remember if that was before this current season, or from three years ago.
