JVC RC-M70 boombox with MMS LEDs rewired as VU meters

I thought it would be cool if the music search LEDs on my M70 would be VU meters. I put yellow LEDs behind the original reds, allowing me to retain MMS. The circuit was designed from scratch on a breadboard and transferred to a project board. Here's a link to the project info, with schematic on page 2. Also, some videos from its development:

Now that is just cool as can be. I enjoy the needles but would love to see mine do this as well. I would ask how you wired this but then again I'd probably not understand if you told me ;-)

Bom dia,Taborgate meu e Cido, sou colecionador de boombox,faco parte de varios grupos na rede sobre boombox e tambem faco reparo para outros colecionadores aqui em Sao Paulo,Brasil,adoro os jvc,principalmente o m70,e gostaria de saber como voce fez esta modificacao,dos les,se usou algum circuito integrado,ou se voce me forneceria o esquema para eu fazer no meu m70.Obrigado.
