It's a fairly lengthy process for sure. But at least it's ok if you take a methodical approach. At least there's space to work in there, and you don't have to desolder a bunch of wires to get to everything. At least it doesn't have to be done very often, I suppose. Thanks for watching 👍

@@solojinglesradio1 the 9935 is a nice unit - and from around 1982 - a great era for boomboxes👍 I feature a M9903K on the channel - a much simpler and smaller unit than yours, but a cool unit!

@@retro_restos Not bad too! This was a donation from 2009 but I had to restore it by a friend. I also have a Telefunken pcr22. That Sanyo gives a warm sound and it's very simple to play. Looking forward for that restoration too!

You're looking at a good £2.5-5k for a clean one. Prices vary a bit of course depending on supply. In the UK there's usually anywhere between 0 and 1 for sale, so it's getting to be a case of grabbing one while you can, as opposed to trying to pick a cheap good one out of a bunch. There's was a NOS one for about £11K, but I'm not sure whether or not it sold. I sometimes import kit from the US, but with shipping, insurance, VAT, import duties etc, I tend to reserve that for 'getting it at any cost' because some things may never come up again.
