@@daquanmcdonald7104 There actually not that bad. You don’t compare total homicides because city’s like Baton Rouge have a population of 200,000 and Chicago has 5,000,000. Look at per capita. There’s hundred city’s with a worse homicide rate but less people. U feel me
@@beensteppin5762 Chicago doesn’t have 5 million people… it has 2.6 million people and Baton Rouge has 226,000 people. But yes, Chicago has 18.76 crimes per 100k people (which is rly high) and BR has 30 crimes per 100k people (higher). Other cities have it even higher but less people.
@@daquanmcdonald7104 Chicago is a much bigger city though. So of coarse their overall numbers will be higher. But as far as "per capita" goes, Baton Rouge has a higher murder rate than Chicago. Meaning that overall, if you compare the two cities by their total populations and their total murders/crimes for their populations. Then BR is the more dangerous city... But at the end of the day it's still nothing to be proud of 💯. I'm from Louisiana and really hate that folks down here brag about the state being "the murder capital" every year smh. I wish all these senseless murders in BR, NOLA and all of Louisiana would just stop 💯. Lotta ppl being killed every day over stupid shit smh. But It happens everywhere, so it is what it is
