The Most Iconic female voices in the late 20th Century to present. No one comes close.. forget the "Pop" singers performing without clothing. If you love music and raw talent, they can't hold a candle to this woman. She's fabulous. ❤️
The most incredible voice on earth and heaven! She reaches to heaven with her power. We are privileged to have heard her sing. God bless you KD....thank you for giving us your all. 🤗💖👍
Superior performance of Crying! Any song kd sings, she ownes, no other singer comes close to matching her brilliance in performance. She's a star worth recognition ❤
I wish that people had made less of an issue about who she slept with, than how damned good she could sing. I find she is putting too many different ways of her style into one song. But damn if she doesn't have one of the best voices ever. I think Roy would be proud of how she has continued to entertain.
She puts everything she has in all her music, and I think it's most powerful with Orbison. He was already a legend. He never thought it'd be a duet; then he heard K.D. and said, "Yeah"...or something to that effect. She showed so much respect and awe toward him everytime they sang it; I really like the performance on Jay Leno. After he passed away, she put everything she had into this tribute to him. Thank you, Roy Orbison. Thank you, K.D., for being able to send him up by capturing part of his essence. Orbison was incredibly humble and would'nt want a media circus; similar to K.D. Neither self-promoted;. not a lot of showmanship and fancy sets. Didn't need it. So glad they collaborated; what a gift
I'll just say this: I've listened to this 'Crying' 20 times in the last 24 hours. (I have to sleep SOMETIME!!!). KD, if you EVER tour again, I'll fly anywhere and buy a front row seat. Or, how about making a Roy Orbison Tribute Album? Your voice is perfect to do so many of his songs.
I believe that KD is thinking of someone special to her while singing this one. This particular song must have real-life meaning in order for her to exude this type of deep, heartfelt emotion. Precisely the way Roy intended it. Goosebumps. Cheers!
This magnificent performance closed the tribute concert in honor of Roy Orbison. She sang it to Roy and for Roy. And if there is an afterlife of any sort, he heard it.
@kmc7062 I agree absolutely. She sang it to Roy. And it's the best I've ever heard her do this song. I'm grateful to the Lang channel for posting this, because the other channel with this video has a man talking at first for way too long before she sings. I don't want to hear him, just her.
This woman has the most beautiful voice blessed at birth. Thank you, Lord. These other artists in the 20th century can’t even understand what you’re saying or what they’re wearing. KD girl you are just amazing love your voice music is great.❤
Just...... Beautiful. There are different reasons for crying. For me, I cried for the loss of Roy Orbison. And I also cried for the beauty of k.d.'s tribute. Not just vocally, but how she captured and loved his soul.
