Hello there! Yes indeed is self made. I could not find any mounts for a Transalp 700 so I decided to make my own. This is made by using two IKEA brackets that was left over from a unit that I had. Both are held in place using the existing screws on the dashboard near the windshield. then I used a bolt to attached them both together and a RAM ball to attached the phone holder. For a phone holder I am using the Ultimateaddons phone holder. I am away at the moment but as soon as I am back I will take some pictures to show you the whole setup. Thanks
Great content ! I've just got a transalp 700 2008 myself about a month ago, and you are the only channel that shares content about it. I'm trying to solve some problems that it has. One of them is a LOSS OF POWER when I wide open the throttle. I changed the two spark plugs with brand new NGK iridium one, I also changed the stock air filter with a DNA high performance filter. However, the problem is still there. I don't know if it's about the fuel pump, dirty tank or an overheating problem ... don't hesitate to share any insights.
Hey Mehdi. Thanks for your kind words. Since you already have changed the plugs and filter my only thought would be the fuel pump or otherwise the fuel injector. It sounds to me jets are the issue. Yo Bro, greetings form NZ, nice bike. I put wide off road foot pegs on mine, made a massive difference to the handling especially off road. Those road pegs give no stability or confidence at all. awesome bikes though look forward to the new model coming out. cheers MB
Hey Mat. Yes that is one thing that I still have to do on my bike. I researched a while ago but could not find anything suitable for the TA except some swmotech ones which were too skinny and pricy. I eventually bought one from Amazon installed in the bike but I did not like it so I removed. They were too heavy and not good quality. If you don't mind me asking what ones have you installed? Yes the TA are great bikes! All the best.
Hi there to be honest I would not know. The manual calls for removing the breather and seal the gap with provided plug but what I did was I just plugged the hose instead. You could do the same if you want to keep the hose in place
Good morning, I am watching the video for the change of the air filter and I want to put it in my TA as well, I have bought a DNA brand filter and it does not mention the removal of a drain pipe, do you know why?
Hello there. Thanks for your message. Sorry but I am not sure why the DNA does not require that. On the K&N that is a requirement for the installation. I am not sure exactly the reason behind this and what is the effect of not disconnecting the pipe. Will have to dig more on that as I thought that was the stand
@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures I was impressed by this installation instruction because they are almost the same filters and the drain hose is to get the moisture out of the box because it is on top of the machine and the temperature difference creates this phenomenon
Hey. I did I bit of search on the web and found this www.thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/174650-help-my-uncorked-xr650l-with-kn-filter-is-drinking-water-through-the-drain-tube/ it looks like that K&N filters create so much vacuum inside the air box that it sucks anything from the drain pipe. This must be the reason why the pipe has to be removed and the drain hole plugged. Hope that helps you.👍
