Oldy's real name was Sergey Belousov and he was a Poet, musician, singer/song writer and also a Russian reggae veteran who's musical career began back in the mid-1980s when Soviet Russian society was going through a period of major political, economical, social and cultural changes caused by "perestroika" and "glasnost".
Unfortunately Sergey abandoned the earthly life on the night of November 5, 2010.
He is survived by his family - his wife Yekaterina and his four daughters. Since Oldy passed away they have been constantly facing terrible financial problems and today in 2013 they still need your support.
That's why 28 Russian bands and solo artists has come together and created a very interesting and versatile 28-tracks tribute compilation album containing all kinds of different interpretations of his musical works including a heavy steppers dub by Digiman Selector from Rostov-On-Don (Russia) and a very nice dub by Caribace Dub Club from Saint Petersburg (Russia).
