These are the K2 Front Street. They cost around $200 US. They’re the original soft boot skate, and are the great grandchild of the K2 Fatty, the classic aggressive skate from the late 90s.
They’re UFS and come with K2 Unnatural frames including 8 58mm wheels and ABEC 5 bearings. The frame hardware can support both 8mm axles and 6mm axles for a wide variety of setups.

Awesome channel, thanks for this honest review, i liked my fattys they were so light, i could stand all the tricks on day one, but i learned on really heavy terrible cheap skates...

If you ski and do rails you will like these. A lot more front foot action (leading foot). Def cant lace these up like they are designed. You are right about that. I like a tight boot almost bitting my nail when brand new cuz I know the laces and strap have to be loose.

I was so excited for k2 to release the first skate they actually cared about in years. I skated the varsity in 2011 and liked them a lot. When I finally got the front street I was very disappointed with the feel of the boot. I guess in trying to change the floppy reputation they went too radically stiff. Felt like concrete initially. After a year of skating they finally seemed to have broken in and felt pretty good to skate for about a month but then they felt completely worn out :(

Completely agree. When I bought these I tried to be positive and thought nah the stiffness can't be that bad like everyone says. But it is. It's just a layer of plastic with fake leather, and you basically have two cuffs. I've had hardboots that felt softer and formed to my feet better than these things. To me these skates feel like you're skating a hardboot without a liner. I stopped skating them because they were just unbearably uncomfortable. I really hope K2 is going to come out with a skate that's not floppy but still feels like a softboot because the design is amazing, and the complete boot and the price is really really good too.

Great video man! You have inspired me to get back out there and skate....its been A LONG time. I was looking to get some new skates...but all I ever skated was K2-backyards up to 250cc. What would you recommend for an "old" guy wanting to get back to the skate park? The Front Streets is what I was considering...but I like your commentary on them vs the old style. Is it time to try something different? Thoughts?

I always recommend the Aeon 60 for people getting back. I saw your other comment on the NJ though, which I thought were pretty good. Just might want to swap the insole

First skates were K2 125's, then used my friends Elliots he gave me, then graduated to Shima 2's, and on to Cult 6's by the late 00's. These days I skate SL's.

I'm looking to get some K2 Unnaturals for a 3x125 UFS frame. Super hard to find... however, I did find this Frontstreet model in a few places. Would you say they are rigid enough for 125? Saw that many have the Unnatural with a 4x100 or even 4x110 setups. Thanks for your answer and knowledge, Law 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I never skated the unnaturals but know they’re stiffer than the front street. I’d say they’re good enough.

No, they’re for aggressive skating. Brakes would be a problem

So weird you say about the cuff, I am looking to get back into this after like 15 years and I used to have M12’s and I’m just looking around and my friends K2 Fatty’s as a kid used to always felt like you were going to slip backwards because you can’t lean forward properly.

If you’re looking urban, not grinding or anything, the Next are great if they fit your feet.

With a 80mm setup, these boots work very well. For small wheels they are to stiff.

couldnt agree more with review. The only thing these skates are kind of good for is skating vert. Thats why Eito Yasatoko uses them.
