Ok, so I'm a VIP member. Paid full price! If you're interested in learning Motorsports engineering. Start and finish here. I have learned a ton. I've built my first motor, made wiring harnesses, but have yet to tune or weld but it's all in HP Academy.❤ And the K series build chapters will be essential to my next two builds NSX and Cayman 😮.

We have a 280hp k20 ef9 civic tarmac rally car 🇮🇪 i have an incar or 2 up on my channel from years ago when we first built it 😊 the engine was built by buddyclub over in England 🤙💯

When the "worst" pressure plate you have in the shop is a quartermaster twin plate... Lol, long way from basin reserve @Andre

Cool. Hope we gey to see the results of the extra injectors. I'm pretty sure several of the drag racers in the US has tried it (yet no one is using it). If you're doing it i think you should try injectors with different spray patterns (and maybe different sizes also) to see what works best.

Finally, building a real race car, tbh bang for buck these K series 90s Hondas are epic level performance, if you ever decide to really kill everything, rotrex supercharge it, speak to BYP in Aus they build some incredible Hondas that clean up far more expensive builds...

Forced induction would push us out of this class I believe and make the car uncompetitive relative to the next class up. Essentially on that path, 'more would be less' so to speak. You are not wrong in saying some people have great setups with those units though 😎 A general long-term idea/goal is to run a smaller capacity engine that is turbocharged or supercharged, but it wouldn't be in this chassis - Taz.

@@hpa101 Consider the EK , EG or DC2 chassis.. all total gems, i had a EF8 back in the day with the B16A was a total blast but agree, they are 1980's designs and a little long in the tooth.

EG is the rough plan. It's one thing to have plans and another to have the time to make them happen though! We posted a while back about an S2000 build plan that we fully intended to make happen at the time, but still haven't for example 😂 Since then the price of those has gotten a bit crazy though putting them off the table really. Also it is a car that creates 'tall people problems' for Ben that are not easily solved like you can in a Civic or Teg - Taz.

Would you run this without a filter then? Or would the injectors be housed inside a large plenum with a large filter off to the side?

There will absolutely be a filter setup. Andre will cover in a future update 😎 Due to the gearbox change we are lowering and pushing the engine further back too which gives us more options in this respect with the dream to not have things hanging out the hood as they are now 😂 We are pressed for time already though as Brandon is taking some annual leave to go back to Ireland and we haven't managed to hire him any help yet. PS: HPA is looking for a fabricator/mechanic to work on projects like this. Despite being extensive relative to other commercial software options, HP Tuners has more it doesn't cover than what it does. There are just so many cars out there. For some options they don't cover that are popular, I'd imagine the fact they would be competing with other already well-established companies in the market makes them less appealing. For Honda you have Hondata, KTuner, Neptune and Crome off the top of my head as options. You also have a (large) number of plug-and-play ECUs. Many of these options also do an excellent job already so it's not like you're going to win customers that have already paid for Hondata for example when it does everything they need already. If you ever see HP Tuner covering Honda platforms my guess is that it will be via the likes of the Civic Type R and newer, but I wouldn't hold my breath - Taz.
