Part 32-2489 on LMC. You can find these on ebay and amazon made of aluminum. However, I've not found the metal rod it attaches to yet.

Ok I know this video is older, but we are having this issue right now with our ‘90 k5. This video helps but i can’t find a diagram of how to find this part to replace it. Helpppp I’m freezing lol

I was never able to find diagrams of the unit. Maybe search ebay for an old repair manual

I think that broken part is called the "diverter valve link connector" and you can buy those for about $5.

Yes you are right. Couldn't find it anywhere because I didn't know the correct name of the part. However, its still a weak point, I am more comfortable with my work around.
