Good video, I'm currently removing my heater box now. Unscrewed all nuts and bolts including the ones in engine compartment. The hardest screw at the bottom of ac unit broke off while unscrewing! This weekend I will finish taking heater box out.

That yellow clip thats broke with the little tiny screw in front of it all you got to do is take that screw out get you a little flat washer put behind that screw and put the screw back in and it will lay flat on the clip and it will hold that little yellow clip in place.. I got a 1990 K5 Blazer I had the same problem.

Next time dont unbolt bracket from vacuum take lineman pliers to the spike in that plastic broken clip . Squeeze the pointed end up it will come out . good job

We are working on this project now. When we go to defrost both doors open. They should both close. Wondering if our vacuum hoses on the heater box are backwards.

We swapped the vacuum lines in our heater box to match what you did. Now one door closes and the other opens. We are almost there. 😅

Everything has held up very good so far. It's too bad we lost all the footage of the complete repair, it came out great.

Just replaced my heater core and put it back together don't know which blend door has to be shut for the heat to come out it still blows cold any comments
