No, SRK does not get the girl. In this movie, Anna never loved SRK's character. And good that in the end; she (the leading lady/love interest of the male protagonist) marries someone else, not the hero; even when both their families were supportive. This movie is overloaded with SKR cuteness.
Please watch and review "2 bigha Zamin", a 1950s hindi movie .It is inspired from italian classic The Bicycle thieves (theme is same, but story is indigenous to India). Lead actor of this movie was staunchly Communist , so movie has socialist theme.Its a story of an illiterate farmer whose land was treacherously grabbed by an industrialist to set up a sugar mill.Story revolves around his struggle to earn money to get it back.
Movie was flop at the box office but after few decades many fake news called it first average than semi hit now calling it hit movie. Soon they will call it super hit or blockbuster. People disliked because they unable to grasp loosing character of Hero. They get angry to see this. Climax disliked by the audience. My comment can hurt many. I liked the movie but when I first watch the movie I find that's ending is very bad for commercial aspect. In 90s commercial cinema was open for only commercial movie. They add theatre in the climax. FLOP.
I loved the movie when it came out and mourned the fact that people did not appreciate it. In fact Sharukh Khan losing in love made the movie all the more endearing and you could identify with his character.

Movie get more attention when srk said in an interview that this movie is his favourite movie. Box office report changing its statements again and again. Fact is movie was flop not even average.
@@raviani82 I know. Don't get me wrong I loved DDLJ but I adored Kabhi Haan kabhi naa. I think there should be space for commercial blockbusters to arthouse movies and to everything in between. I still love Hrishikesh Mukherjee's and Basu Chatterjee's movies. I love well made movies be it escapist or indie.

Rajkumar hirani copies the work of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and imtiaz ali copies the work of Basu chatterjee. I like Nitesh tiwari more. If you are interested in romantic serial then you can watch KASHISH and FARMAN available on RU-vid. I hope you will check these two masterpieces.
@@raviani82 I have seen them both on TV and RU-vid too. I am from Hyderabad so I have special corner for Farmaan. In fact I have read the book Alampanah on which the serial is based. The author Rafiya M Amin is the screen play writer of Farmaan. I have read the book in Hindi. I love Nitesh Tiwari too.
