The flag was good, but why didn't they blow the whistle? if the offense makes a penalty that negates the play, isn't that supposed to stop the play? If they had, the Chiefs could have still used their trick play on the next try. Instead they already showed the trick play.

They give you a warning if you're slightly unaligned. If you're an idiot like him and are blatantly lined up over the ball in the neutral zone they're not going to warn the player, so yes it should have "been" a penalty which is what I think you were trying to say instead of "Ben". @@markmc9229 it’s a warning if you’re too far behind the line of scrimmage not leaving enough players on the line. It’s not a warning when it comes to lining too far forwards. The reason being that if the play is a run or a screen or even a pass there is too much of an advantage to the offensive player. On this particular play there wasn’t but the ref doesn’t wait to see what the play is before a flag.

I think refs can certainly be blamed. But not in this instance or this game. It's just the refs are so used to being on the side of the Chiefs and Eagles, that when they aren't giving you every call. They throw a fit. Clearly a penalty, can't be mad over that. However, there has been games this year where refs dictate way too much and control the outcome. Bills Eagles and Dolphins Eagles are prime examples of that. Hell even the Cowboys Eagles game haha.

Does Toney point at the ref to see if he's good before the snap? All these clips are starting right on the snap and nothing before it. Mahomes was mad that the refs didn't call toney out on when he checked with them.

No ref at any level (except maybe peewee) will stop the play to move a reciever. Maybe they warn you if you line up too close once, but at the beginning of every play the reciever checks with the line judge to see if he’s “good”
