To be honest, that's most people's experience lol. Elden Ring was my first souls game. Got the shit beat out of me for hours before I was able to beat Margit. After 100% Elden Ring, I went and copped all the Dark Souls games and Sekiro lol. Some of us are masochists fr.

to anyone saying he wasted 6 hours on an optional boss, look at him play on his first death, and then look at him on his 123rd death. He's accumulated priceless skill in those 6 hours and 123 deaths, it's amazing. i'm not a fan of him but this dedication for a non souls player was amazing to see
Literally was thinking the same when he levels up he’s gonna crush bosses cause he genuinely got good at the game cause of the first boss and learned patience
i've gained so much respect for kai after this. Only those who beat the Tree Sentinel the first time meeting him knows this feeling, it's the never give up attitude and the patience required to achieve your goals.
@@maurymalkovich8117wrong. it’s there to scare most new players away into exploring. it’s there to be a challenge for returning veterans and brave (or foolish - only difference between the two is success) newcomers to bash their heads against before fighting any other enemies outside of the tutorial area.

Seeing just how good he got at dodge rolling after tree sentinel makes me realize the devs were absolute geniuses for making him the first optional boss. Also, the heart rate counter was a great idea! Seeing it spike to 160 after killing TS was hilarious.
Kai, your a real one for beating Tree Sentinel right at the start. It doesn't seem that you've played souls games before. So to do this is one hell of an achievement. Don't matter how long it took. Play how you want to play throughout this whole game and you will love the experience I promise. Also, don't listen to chat. It's much more enjoyable watching you figure things out on your own.
The thing is chat is so fickle, some will say "you missed an item" and it'll be true, or it'll be a trap, or it'll just waste his time looking for an item that isn't even there. Chat is daft.
As much as we jest and clown, this is really cool from Kai. I’m not just talking about him playing a fire game, but ACTUALLY persevering. Kai is ACTUALLY blasting through this shit, with no help or nun. He’s struggling on some of the easiest bosses, but he’s not lost his ambition. It’s admirable. And I think it’s actually a great look for Fromsoftware (developer’s) as well. Because if Kai beasts through the game with sheer will, it will encourage more people who were initially scared to play the game.

Kai will be good with his patience, but chat needs to stfu and let him make mistakes and learn. You don't need every smiting stone and map piece right away, and NPC's are really optional.
The chat is even more clueless than him. They spent 2 hours repeating "EQUIP YOUR TALISMAN" when it has been equipped the whole time. Saying LEVEL UP before meeting Melina. Telling him to level strength on a katana build. Just npcs top to bottom
Not in PVE. There’s more skill involved in an FPS or a fighter imo. Here once you learn the fundamentals it’s a game of memorisation. The PVP is where the skill is involved and it plays completely differently because you can’t rely on the AI to use the same sequence of attacks.

People in comments are idiots. That boss was not meant to be defeated that early in the game still he defeated him . This shows how good he is in these soul games
Plus it’s not hard to adapt to a bosses attacks after dying to them 123 times, doesn’t really show he’s “ good “ it just shows he can predict his moves after dying so much, as you can tell literally right after killing the sentinel most of that skill he has is kinda lost because he only knows his move set

Ok honestly I love elden ring but I started thinking is the game (all games) really that amazing (which I still think it is) if you wish you could play it again for the first time because in a way that means it has little to no replay value
