After the anime-esque antics of Kamen Rider Den-O, Toei decided to return to a somewhat more serious Kamen Rider series, one that revolved around horror movies. They hired Toshiki Inoue to write the show, who had been quite successful in the past with Agito and 555. Inoue had this great idea of having Kamen Rider Kiva set between two different time periods, which each one revolving around its own story and main characters, while also collecting with each other. The ambition was grandiose, but sadly, the execution left a bit to be desired. Do the negatives hinder Kamen Rider Kiva from excellence? Or it is a misunderstood masterpiece? Watch to find out.
