Let's be honest..Amazing yamaguchi have come a long way regarding their sculpts and joint systems from the early deadpool and wolverine figures from a few years ago..they seem to get better with each release..hats off to 'em..!!!
This review reminded me one of those infomercials products "you want your joker walking? boom, not enough? then look at how you can make him fight in a goofy way, nice and easy"
"I don't have an actual universe batman" don't worry D, we Macfarlane collectors don't have one too. The best we got are the Dark Knights Metal Axe Batman and White Knight Batman.
That's one hell of a Joker. It's amazing (no pun intended) how much their sculpts have changed since the Spider-man times to this one. Great review, D.
Lol with joker you can go absolutely ridiculous with the posing and it will look amazing because joker do be doing some hilarious poses in the animated movies and comics
If I didn’t already pre order the mafex dark knight returns joker, I’d definitely pick this one up. I have a lot of figures on pre order and my wallet won’t make it if I keep it up. Also, great review as always d amazing!
Holy mother of poses Batman! This might be my first figure from this line, just need a classic simple Batman to go with him from the same line. My biggest problem with this line previously was everything looked a little over designed, but this is actually kind of perfect. My only complaint would be the elbow joints in idle or standing poses looks strange, but I mean who’s going to be posing his figure like that anyway. (Might have to get that Deathstroke too).
If yall really want to see a awesome figure reviewer it has to be D amazing 👏 he loves what he's doing and shows us some awesome posing at the end good job 👏
Damn this looks dynamic! I know that's Amazing Yamaguchi's whole deal but it's so cool to see that with a character that isn't usually presented as particularly athletic/flexy. Because of that I also love that you can just get weird as hell with it and potentially go for a whole creepy spider pose sort of deal with him.
I want this Joker so bad 👁👁 & he'll be havin' some fun with Havik bein' the crazy chaotic duo they is... 👁👄👁 I look forward to having a custom Havik from Mortal Kombat, done for me by the way. 👀👀
Joker is quite an improvement on the Yamaguchi Line. His weird antics are ideal for dynamic poses. The thing is, while he looks great next to most Harleys from different brands, he looks too tall next to ANY Batman that isn't McFarlane (which isn't even on the same scale). I think they should go ahead and release a 2.0 Revoltech Batman (and make him taller and more 90's looking to match with this Joker) because the one they already have is quite awful.
Had this experience with Wolverine. Fun poses that other figures cant do. The Gambit figure, however is less pleasing to the eye with the joints (not as tight or well hidden) and overall sculpt compared to comic styles of Wolverine's bulkier body. AY Revoltech are indeed unique and this Joker is done very well. Great review!
Holy hell this popped up in my recommendations when I was just looking for your review! Edit: I really love the articulation on this one, but it just looks too freaky and wild for me imo. Hope they do more characters with this level of articulation
I wanna buy two. One for a joker and the other for a custom Big head from the Dark horse comics! I genuinely want an official fully articulated figure of that character, specifically Kellaway’s version of him. I know Stanly epkis is a popular pick but, I would love more alterations of him
Prolly one of the better 1:12 scale Joker's I've seen but my initial reaction was the head size appeared too small for the rest of the body but seems to be alright when compared to their Batman & the Mafex issues while appearing too small next to the Mezco comparables shown so it's prolly ok w/their other DC line figs. My only other complaint is only 2 heads isn't enough expressions for a Joker imo. Good to see Kaiyodo rebound some w/this issue via the height scale as looks pretty good (although slightly too tall) next to their Batman imo (at least they didn't completely blow the height scale like w/their WW & Harley (way too short) issues imo). Still believe the Kaiyodo Batman is one of the best 1:12 scale Batman issue's to date & this Joker appears to be their next best & a very high quality issue in their DC line (while unfortunately all their other DC issues (Deathstroke, WW & Harley) are below average imo. If you're a 1:12 scale Joker fan I'd say it's a definite pickup. Thanks for the detail review & comparisons.
Literally think this figure is disgusting and not my type of joker. I would much rather prefer the new mafex hush joker. But no doubt I would still buy this because of how great you make these toys sound. Wonderful is the only word I have to describe this review. Great job brotha
Revoltech has gotten way better with the way these look/handle. I have the magneto which I was kind of meh about but love the cable.i totally forgot about this figure. cable.im personally passing but it looks great
I think all the Batmen look bad with him IMO the Mezco joints look too bloated and short and McFarlane just don’t size well at all. But the Joker himself is really nice but I feel like he should have a better hair sculpt. I’m gonna sip this water now.
He look like broken pieces stick together and at some pose, it resemble cubism. The only reason it works is because he's joker. Other character with this mechanism won't look that good but with joker, it is fantastic.
I really like revoltech and what they're doing with the amazing Yamaguchi stuff, but this one just isn't for me, not totally sure why either. Also dang tank girl Harley with the classic head is a real good look
how do i make the joints tighter i bought a used one by accident and the left arm was loose it was ana inconvienadpkjaio at first but now its unusable because it wont move the joint and the other things like the legs and hips are now loose so i can barely stand how can i fix this crap
I've seen a few of these now, and I'm curious which Yamagucho figure is a good place to start. I really want Spider-Gwen, but can't find her. Would Harley Quinn, Joker, or Venom be a good starting figure to try the Yamaguchi line?
Im sorry but im not digging the Yamaguchi figures. I ordered the Arkham knight and sent it back in the same day. Thought it felt cheap and breakable. Not into really delicate figures. Got the sentinel wolverine and I was happier with that.
