OOOOOH MY GOD I LOVE THIS!!!! I absolutely adore how pkradi’s mannerisms change as soon as lurien enchants hollow’s nail with dream magic, the change from confident and mocking to actually being scared and almost jumping out of the way of their attacks!

I like how Monomon straight up brought a gun

0:13 I like the subtle detail of pk/radi fusion's eyes changing colour depending on who's in control (white for pk, yellow for radi)

2:06 the dramatic sexy leg up in the air the fact that in like the scene after it looks like radiant King is blushing even though I doubt it; it's still funny😂

You have mighty warriors of needle and nail, powerful mages of forsaken arts, and then Monomon just has a straight-up gun. Lovely animation btw!

There are so many cool little touches here, the playful ballerina grace Radiance moves with when she's toying with Hollow communicated beautifully by just giving her a couple more poses per shot than them, way Pale King's face is getting more frames per second than the rest of the shot to really sell the emotion when he's looking at Hollow, the sudden shift in Radiance's demeanor when Lurien enchants the nail, the way Lurien's moving with the same extra grace she has because he's a Moth. One of my favourite bits is just how clearly Radiance is panicking, she just showed off that she could absolutely take Hollow in a straight fight, she was outright playing with them, but now that they have something that can actually hurt her she's freaking out too bad to focus up on taking them down. Also, Pale King's eyes in the reflection of the enchanted nail, Hell Yes. Other highlights include Rad's reaction to Monomon just straight up shooting her with A Gun, and Herrah completely overpowering Radiance, like, outright. The smirk she puts on like, "oh, you're a cute little thing, aren't you? We having fun?" Herrah's my favourite of the Dreamers and I love how you made her so just HUGE and framed her so well that I can only describe her as Looming in every frame she's in, no matter what she's actually doing. Truly The Beast, it's awesome!

ik i've commented on this before but the way you draw expressions is absolutely stellar. that + how you animate a lot of the subtler flinches and twitches (classic pk struggling for control momence, pkradi's surprise + shock at lurien, pkradi freaking out about women + dreamnail business), they really help every moment have its impact here!!!! AAA!!!!! SO COOL!!!!!!!!

i love this it just kinda fits to show the Radiance's first defeat as this grand battle between her and the most powerful beings of Hallownest also Monomon has a gun. what else could you ask for.

you don't KNOW how crazy i get over this the GLEAM from the (enchanted/reinforced/dream-fueled) blade from radiance to PK had me insane. AND THE LITTLE LINES FROM FALSE KING DOING THE SPIN... MY GOD how long did that take all in all 10/10 you enchanted me back here again and again 👍

This was freaking amazing, I adored each of the dreamer's unique fighting styles and weapon designs and at the end when a certain someone made an appearance I got absolute chills. Honestly, hands down your gijinka designs for the Hollow Knight characters are my absolute favourites, your art style is beautiful and I love your work! 💙💙💙💙💙💙

Hello yes I have decided to make a second comment for every detail I missed and want to gush about now that I've noticed them(this animatic has been living rent-free) -The Radiance Eyebrow Raise(tm) in the opening frames of the animatic; big "Oh, you're approaching me?" energy. -The bridge shot. It's just a really dynamic angling and the motion helps sell that Hollow and Radi are really Going At It instead of just standing still. -The playful little bounce Radi does after landing at 0:32. Just. That smug fucking grin like "Oh this is so much more fun than tormenting the Wyrm." and the hair bounce is aaaaaa -WL! I've mentioned her in the other comment but her design is genuinely great, and I love how from her expression alone you can tell this is way more personal to her than anything else in the moment - she's lost her children, her subjects, possibly her Knight depending on the timeline of this AU, and now *her Wyrm* to Radi and if Hollow doesn't knock her out of PK's skull there's a solid chance she'll reach in there and tear Radi out herself. -The second bridge shot with Radi hauling ass. Just. Again not only are the bridge shots well drawn but your use of movement with them really helps convey the pacing of the actions, and the second shot mirroring the first - with Radi being on the backfoot, but rather than playing with her opponent flat-out in retreat - is great.

You managed to make lurien really cool, so this is automatically a great show of talent.

Y’know it took me an astonishingly long time to realize that Lurien enchanted THK’s nail to be a dream nail, and that’s why Radiance was scared because she knew that now they could actually get to her inside of PKRADI’s mind.

this really reminds me of land of the lustrous, the fight scenes are so mesmerising and beautiful it feels just like that anime. youre an incredible animator and i love your work

1:20 I love how this is the last we see of the Pale King until the very end. He's scared and looking for a way out until now. He knows that the Radiance can be killed right here and now, but it's going to be at the cost of his own life. Instead of continuing to panic, though, he resigns himself to his fate. I also really like the detail at the very end where he's briefly back in his absolute final moments but after the Radiance is dead. Another neat detail is how the Dreamers are either calm and collected or smug when facing the Radiance, which beautifully contrasts with the White Lady, who is neither of those things; she is royally ticked off. Both her expression and movements make that very clear and it is fantastic. One final thing is that the portion where the beat picks back up and Lurien interferes goes unbelievably hard.

I hope you continue this au--I'm very invested in how this will play out! And the way you translated the characters into humanoid designs is lovely.

Also PLEASE give us more monomon and Herrah content I adore their designs. EDIT: Also-Also I fucking love how everyone stands aside for WL. They all KNOW she's about to whip pkradi's ass and if Hollow doesn't knock her out of pk's head WL will tear Radi out with her bare hands.

Everything was going so fast, I could hardly keep up! I adore every part of this; the colors, the movements, the good amount of wtf just happened, all of it. Wth did Lurien do? I couldn't comprehend that part but it was still really cool! Also- MONOMON HAS A GUN! THAT'S SO COOL!!! Seriously though, I don't know that I can put into words how phenomenal this is and how much I love it. Absolutely great work :) Now go take a break and take care of youself!

not sure if this fits into this au's lore but here's a timeline which I think makes sense: when the pale king took the place of the pure vessel the kingdom was starting to go into repair from the damage the radiance had already done the dreamers would not exist because of the faith they have in the kings will power and Godley strength. The period of peace would last just as long as the main timeline but things change when the pale king and radiance fuse. The radiance could have easily escaped there prison and started to spread there infection and take over the capital the bugs that survived this would retreat to the outer edge of the kingdom away from the radiances sight. When the main events of the story take place the vessel (or ghost) would have much more trouble traversing the caverns of hollow nest because the infection much more free making the forgotten crossroads into the infected crossroads early in the game when traveling the vessel would find the place where seer is to be stuck under lock and key once opened revealing a half infected seer slowly dying they would make the vessel do the tasks they do in the main game and give them the awakened nail or just give them it without the tasks. When the vessel travels outside of hollownest they would find a small village where the dreamers, the pale lady, the pure vessel and the survivors are located after doing some stuff with the vessel the survivors get tired of the radiance and decide to fight back leading to the events of this video. I just made this because It seems like you don't have a main idea for this timelines events sorry if I missed something.

This is not a PK redemption arc. a PK redemption arc would imply PK is in some kind of conscious epiphany and ends up making the changes himself. Nonono, In this, PK suffers and burns so much that calling him evil would feel petty. So, I think "PK penance arc" would be a more fitting way to put it.
