I think people are tired of the duolopy system that claims to represent the American peoples suffering when it comes to economic issues. People are hungry for change at the top of the ticket. You have one of the candidates pledging to be an authoritarian leader. On the other side the only argument you hear is I'm here 5o fight for democracy but look the other way while I send billions in aid to a country whose committing ethnic cleansing. Joe Biden is a weak candidate. I never hear him talk about what he plans to do in his second term. There's no vision or passion there except to just stop Trump. Okay? Well, are you going to do for the American people besides send more money for wars rather than focusing on the issues here at home. If we hitch our wagons to Biden we are most likely headed to another term of President Trump. The cynics didn't believe us when we said it about Hillary

For people who regard themselves as intellectually superior to others in our country, they have a deep lack of knowledge & common sense. They need to remember THE REASON why they &/or their families left, their countries of birth & came to the USA. All of us immigrants NEED to remember THE REASON.

I lived in India for many years. The worst story about the Indians - and the Pakistanis - is their total, utter racism against black people. In Hindi the word black, kala, is being used as a curse...watch the movie mississippi masala to see the subtext, that is never discussed openly...
There are several reasons why Indian Americans lean conservative. Many are business owners who were really hurt by the Covid Lockdown and want to take it out on the Dems. Others are very well positioned as Upper middle class and don't feel kinship with the Democratic party's redistribution agenda. Some are religious and don't like the Liberal drive to redefine everything from Marriage to what it means to be a man/woman. And some are actually driven by hindutva sympathies who care more about the US' support for Modi and his party. It's a VERY diverse group.

It's completely another thing if people are saying "Eh - this guy's old and not super fun, so let's burn our democracy down and become a fascist dictatorship."

Make a practice of checking controversial news stories using more than one outlet, preferably from different countries. Treat highly biased outlets as entertainment, even if they're accurate and you agree with them. Don't pass along news stories until you have double checked their authenticity and accuracy.
