@@user-ts8hq7hy6d i never heard this info. Afaik Kajiura just took some (many) lines from the novel, but Nasu did not necessarily take part in the lyric composition.

I really feel bad for knowing Kalafina months before they officially disbanded. Still thankful that I can watch their performances here on RU-vid. They're just great! 🤧🤧🤧 🇵🇭
There's talk of them getting back together now! Apparently, the group were previously experiencing management problems, as well as a rift between the lead singer and the two other members. At least, that's what some articles are stating.
0:39 Wakana starts the lyrics. She has that pleading/ mournful tone which Keiko matches in the harmony. 2:00 Keiko comes in with the dark and warm legato tone singing the same melody as Wakana did in verse 1. Interesting to hear the contrast in their voices and styles. Hikaru supports which is always nice. 2:51 The call and response from Wakana and Keiko was the dramatic climax of this song. Always passionate performed live! Speaking of Hikaru, she is essentially digital in this song. Her voice is disembodied with the other fairy chorus voices. Like she's a spirit participating in the video.
The lyrics paint the tale of a beautiful relationship that has regretfully ended as the narrator recounts it like a fairytale. Finally embracing that it's over, she's turning the page to a new chapter in her life... the last few lyrics always hit me like a truck lol...
Sony finally give a chance for the overseas fans to enjoy the official music videos especially the latest ones in kalafina's own channel. However, I've never expected Sony will upload the music videos of the past songs. It seems Sony really wants to promote Kalafina to more places. Hope my three megami will go further. Happy 8th anniversary. See you all in the 10th and 15th anniversaries.
@@Morganasnotarobot0 its sad but true.. they are disband now.. but still i love them, and all of Yuki kajiura music talent like fiction junction they all are still avtive till now
I’ll always love songs by Kalafina. First I heard was Magia, and every song they made for Kara no Kyoukai was the second. So much emotion and twists.. this is music that both mystifies and surprises
I discovered Kalafina through Kara no Kyoukai. Every soundtrack is absolutely amazing. I think this is the first anime I let the post credit play and intently listen to the song TT watching that anime hurt so much but it was definitely a good experience. Love this song so much, as well as Seventh Heaven!
The most 'magical' Kalafina song. I love how Kajiura-sensei inserted some of the poem from the novel (Kara no Kyoukai by Kinoko Nasu) i can't point out which lines, but i can feel the whole song and the whole chapter in the novel have the same vibe, and they compliment each other. And also, some of Kalafina songs are better in live than the studio recorded, but this song is not one of them. Idk why :(
I guess the amount of harmonization that is done with this song is a bit difficult for them to sustain during live performances. Plus the one doing the Kajiurago backing vocals with the falcetos is Yuriko Kaida and she isn't present during their live performances.
@@catsinni yeah maybe it is the weird harmonization distribution, less Hikaru and more Yuriko who is not even present in lives. Another thing that a bit unsettled (???) for me is Hikaru's one-and-only solo line, "sayonara..." that she sang differently from the studio version, and for me the softer studio version is better than the stronger live version.
Man... whoever is the master mind behind every single one of this videos should get all kinds of awards lol just amazing, and add to that 3 gorgeous girls with incredible voices. ^_^
Kalafina is a niche product that is little known. There is also the fact that they should have dissolved work. Was described below in older posts, which is a pity.
Just found this great song..This song totally haunted me. OMG Wakana is really beautiful and pretty like her voice..Rarely I saw Wakana with bang but she really look pretty here.... Keiko and Hikaru too look amazing and their harmonies are the best
No estamos tan lejos entonces!! La verdad no pude dormir de la emoción de escuchar a estas chicas, sus voces casi no son humanas, te atrapan y no te dejan ir
