Forts of maharashtra are one of the best places to visit in india. Specially in monsoon sahyadri mountains and forts of maharashtra looks like a heaven.

Hiii if you are in Maharashtra, please do explore AMK Range. In my personal opinion, there are more difficult forts in the state of Maharashtra, but Kalavantin Durg is one which got famous amongst the people.😊 Hoping to see you explore more forts in Maharashtra.

You should visit Kalavantin during rains, it’s a different ball game altogether. Also try Harihar Fort. Great vlog,some of the shots were simply amazing and scary , I actually had sweat on my palms and legs watching it.

Excellent trek, great to see you're exploring lesser known activities in India. You did it with ease. I would recommend you 2 long treks in India, 1. Devroopa Trek in Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh (4500m) 2. Kashmir great lakes trek (2700m)

Previously there was no ropes at the top, we used to climb up just like that, but then some accidents happened, so they attached the ropes there

Woww! That was one scary climb, I was worried there for a second, why don't you use chest/head mount instead of keeping the cam over selfie stick so in case of any mishap you can use both of your hands to recover with and once on safer plane you can just attach to selfie stick and show us the amazing views. Or perhaps it's just me with the fear of heights.

I used the headstrap for the very end when I needed both hands to climb, but the steps were pretty easy

Most difficult trek in monsoon bro.If you want endurance treks,do AMK trek.Its a 2 day trek and extremely challenging.I lost 4 kgs in 2 days of that trek

You may be correct, but during the summer and winter seasons, it becomes ten times harder in the monsoon. I realized and experienced it yesterday. It's not as easy as that, bro.😊😊.I challenge you to do it in monsoons if you are true treekker😅

@@JesseStLouis Great . Many forts in Maharashtra had carved out staircases in the walls of the forts.Kalavantin Fort and Harihar Fort are two remaining examples. All others were dynamited by the British after the 1st war of Independence in 1857. That is why climbing these forts is very risky and technical. I can't imagine the daring of those men who cut these rock faces. I hope you do more of these videos. Do visit Bhairav Gad or Fort and do the final overhang.

"According to the legend, the fort was built for a queen named Kalavantin but that really seems to be all that anybody knows. Around 1458, Malik Ahmad, the prime minister of the kingdom of Ahmednagar, took over the fort during his conquest of Konkan. The Mughals took control of Prabalgad along with Kalyan, Mahuli, Karnala and a number of other forts after Sambhaji's death. The fort was conquered by Shivaji from the Mughals in 1657, after establishing himself in the Kalyan-Bhiwandi area. At the time of the attack, the fort was governed by Kesar Singh, a Mughal sardar, and was the only fort to put up a strong resistance. On seeing the signs of defeat, the women in the fort performed jauhar, a tradition of self-immolation to ensure an honourable and respectful death." - The Times of India

they do sell mineral packet bottles at the location! also you can drink running water out in the waterfall

I didn't see any water flowing to filter, but plenty of little drink shops along the way. I brought 3 litres of filtered water in my camelback

there is a small entrance fee if you go the normal way, but since i took a different route we didn't pass through that area. I think it's like 50 rupees or something like that

These forts decimated Mughal Empire ,Aurangzeb who wished to conquer Deccan Plateau within couple of year intimately died after loosing his over 5 lac Army in 27 year long Deccan war ( 1680-1707 ).He marched from Delhi thinking he would rule entire India and died knowing his own Empire had been reduced to dust by Marata's .
