I have bad bone pain and inflammation for 5 months , I went on your smoothies and no meat and dairy ,felt so much better. Tried some small amount of meat just to check. Boy you where right , I felt terrible.
I’m on week 5. I had a small amount of organic, local meat a couple of times and noticed no side effects. I think we are all different. On the other hand I really had to reduce the fruit in the smoothie as it made me feel awful. So just add a fraction of what’s recommended.
I make a smoothie every day, and I love it. All of my fruits are frozen, including my ripe bananas. I put in protein powder, black seeds, hemp seeds, and collagen, along with my frozen fruits and greens. Thanks for sharing happy, healthy eating.🙏🏽😋🥗🥒
Great smoothie You are one of the few people I’ve seen who actually put enough greens in a smoothie I do the same thing I usually put almost the whole container of greens
I find that using a table knife on the side of my blender when I pour the water in so you can make sure you have put enough water in. It helps the water go all the way to the bottom. When there are so many greens pushed down inside the blender sometimes you can’t get enough water in your blender. Of course take the table knife out before turn the blender on. It is just to help you get more water in so it blends well.

In the other hand I have a sister who is diagnosed with lupus during 8 months far pregnancy, she was close to dying, lost her baby after she was induced. and she survived by the Grace of God! She lives in Ethiopia where the healthcare system is not good. I sent her your videos but I don’t know how else I can help her she is taking meds but very costly, she is in the process of buying a blender to f she can find one. A certified commercial vacuum blender such as a Tribest Dynapro costs no more than most Vitamix blenders but sucks out the oxidating air before blending retaining more nutrients with better flavor and smoother consistency. Enjoy!
After finding this channel by chance, I decided to make one of these 2 days ago. I used kale from my garden, and added mango, blueberries, and frozen acai. I also used coconut water and added some filtered water to it. And stevia. It was amazingly refreshing, cooling, energizing and nutritious. Thanks for the idea! I will add some flax oil next time. I am a non-secretor (Lewis antigen blood system) and therefore, cannot handle anything with phytic acid (nuts/seeds/beans/grains) unless they are fermented. Otherwise, I get horrific cavities.

I have auto immune disease where my body is attacking itself and I’ve been going through a very horrible time and I’m glad I got to see you on here. I was just thinking about start juicing when I seen your video that you had lupus and I know I most certainly am going back to doing some of these smoothies. Actually 1-2 apples take bitterness away. You can pack a vitamix but careful with regular blenders I drive a truck over road, so i purchased personal blender to do my smoothies I started buying all frozen fruits and my kale to be able to keep my nutrition I use a little kiefer may stop using it since i 🤔 think dairy??? Sometimes grocery stores have coconut kefir and then there is the option to make your own water or coconut kefir 🙂 it's super simple I googled it and bought the grains and takes about a day or so to ferment.
Costco Power Greens comes in 3 lb. bags. Those rectangular containers at Sprouts (baby kale, chard, spinach) are 1 lb, both priced the same. I have a 48 oz. stainless container and I can mash down about 1/2 lb. of greens with barely room for the fruit. My favorite is tutti frutti: juice of a lemon, a peeled tangelo or tangerine, 8 oz of mixed berries, 1/2 ripe banana and the rest. A few drops of vanilla and almond extract and a pinch of salt helps too.
Second time watching this vid always wondered how much flax to use now I see. I dont own a vitamix YET so I have to ground my flax just before blend or di a batch that lasts for 2-3 days

Hello Dr G! I have a question for you I’m hoping you will have time to answer. I began this journey only two days ago and have already noticed a change for the better in my inflammation and pain in my hands and knees. What I’m wondering is how many blenders could or should one do in a day. Would two be too many. I find I feel full longer, however, I’m craving more when it’s gone and it’s time for another meal. No more cravings at night for me once I began your program. So that is just one more bonus. Thank you for all you do!

I know this video is 7 years old, but I just discovered it. My only question is how to make your water. Is it just boiling. I boil water everyday in a small kettle and a friend said my water still wasn't clean enough.

Awesome video! Is it better to blend it for a longer period or shorter (maybe blend the flax separate?) so as not to heat up the kale too much? Or is blending this for this long optimal? You guys are awesome!
Only need to blend it for approx 2 min. I March in place with my knees up and one hand on the top of the blender. The flax and chia seeds are in the blender. I use cold water from my Refrigerator door which comes out cold. The smoothie is cold when it is done. I have a vitamix. Maybe that makes a difference? I’ve heard of people adding ice cubes to the blender to make it cold.
Hi, Question do you drink the whole blender full at once or spend it out over the day and then get your water in when your not drinking your smoothie! And this is how you eat, when get hungry do you eat other then smoothies like a raw salad, waiting to hear from you, I'm like your husband, I like my smoothie on the sweet side, so good!!

After watching you I would love to make your smoothie as it would be good for me at 76 years old, but to purchase the vita mix in the UK it is £480.0, and it is just too much money for me, so is there another blender I can use?
Battling lupus right now causing my hair to fall out....pain is horrible.....wish I could change my diet n do this....but no money to do that....live in Jamaica and attending nursing school....continue to inspire us Dr....pray for me that help will come my way....
Fruits and greens in Jamaica do not cost a lot. Your in the best place for organic produce . Meat cost more than greens down there, coconut trees are all around you for coconut water ? Don’t make excuses and heal yourself sweetheart! God bless you!
Hi dr. Goldner, i love watching your videos. I would like to ask if the green smoothies prevent swelling during and after delivery? I had swelling after i delivered my first born last 2013. Im pregnant again and don want to experience swelling and postpatum hypertension again.
Interesting that you would add this. I was thinking of spiraling as well. I have a mixture of quercetin, moringa, and some thing from Ayurvedic powder called bhumyamlaki. I made a mixture of this in a container and add one full spoonful along with a half a spoonful of ginseng. It’s really bitter so you have to go easy on the ginseng otherwise I do the same smoothie prep as Dr G. ❤
What you are looking for is a high speed blender that will grind up the whole flax and chia seeds in your smoothie. Vitamix or Blendtec does this in about 2 - 3 minutes. If a less powerful blender is used be sure to use a coffee/seed & nut grinder to grind the seeds just before adding to your smoothie to prevent oxidation.
For the basic smoothie shred protocol, there's no limitations on any other foods. The idea is to add nutritious food that's missing from your current diet.
Yes.but if you had a raw salad too,then you could drink less.the smoothie is for the average person who unlike myself does not eat a ton of greens everyday.
