Eskrimador absolutely deadly! FMA, the "University" of the martial arts. Got to be the most complete system I have ever come across. Thankyou for sharing the knowledge.🙏

Very nice work :) just one constructive comment :) not sure if it was not mention for purpose to keep it simple on the exercise but on the first movement when pushing the jab i think its very important 2 also have the head movement on the parry just in case you miss the block. If you fight a real boxer or fighter the speed of that jab coming is fast and not to forget the opponent will not be static. Love Kali and looking to add this to my art :)

I've been loving your muay thai content. Great to see some fma on your channel! Wondering if we'll see some improvised weapons mate? This has got to be one of my favourite sources of martial arts on all forms of media. Great content and presentation. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Aus!

Had to watch this a couple times to be sure before I commented...but before the view angle changes at 4:00, you have an overhand grip with your left hand on his right arm (thumb to the inside), but when the angle switches at 4:00 right before the takedown, your grip is reversed (thumb is outside). Do you switch the grip as you step back for the takedown? Or is that where you want to be gripping in the first place?

Very much like the link between Heaven 6 stick motion and the practical application in a non weapon environment; not something that was well explained or shown in anything than a drill before for me, thank you

I'm in central Alabama in America and ain't no on uses Kali, Arnis or any type of Filipino knife or stick fighting. I wished there was even wingchung but everyone goes for cheap ass tkd, good thing it's open carry and conceal carry here for firearms all else fails if my Filipino skills fails I'll reach for a firearm to defend myself

Nice video, but i want to see how to apply this techniques against a Muay Thai or Muay Boran fighter.

Why on earth does he feed you so badly? It's obvious his fists would never be able to touch your face from that range. I very much like the muay thai videos on this channel but this is just highly unrealistic. Regardless of the question whether or not gunting would actually work in a fight.

Linus Verclyte well I used it one time it works

Against whom exactly? Anything will work against someone who isn't used to fighting. I'm sure I could armlock a guy with no training but against a boxer or kickboxer it will fail. Gunting was derived from knifework: surely cutting or stabbing his limbs will be effective but using two hands to strike his arm (as shown here) in the hope of getting a reaction (dubious given the effect of adrenalin) seems like a recepy for getting hit. Especially when he's good at feignting since you've basically given up your cover. That's what I meant: will it work against someone with fast hands? Even Ron Balicki saysin his videos on Filipino boxing it's not a given and one should just keep going. If an internationally renowned expert basically says these techniques don't deliver reliable, consistent results perhaps doing something that actually works and has been proven empirically to work reliably (striking his head or body) might be a safer bet. What works in training against someone who isn't really trying to hit you and isn't in an adrenalized, pain-numbing state (brought on by anger, agression, fear) and/or on drugs or drunk is not garanteed to work for real. Hence my doubt.
