As a Leeds utd fan,I am so happy to see KP at a proper club with passionate fans who care. I go to the London Stadium with my grandaughter, can't wait to see him light the place up. Good luck KP. 🙏.x Your gonna love him
We are not passionate fans anymore, we used to be. We are the worst fans in the country now. The only time we support our club, is when we go 2-0 up in the first ten mins or something, and even then it's very conditional.
@@sonnythesnowball Your fans are wonderful, loud & vicarious. I went to see Leeds play v Citeh & could hear someone opening a packet of crisps at the other end of their stadium..😁
Thanks Leeds fan. I knew Leeds in the 70's when you ruled with skill & brutality. You were the City of today back then. We had some battles on and off the pitch. Can't wait to see you in the Premier where you belong.
@@mooseing22 Loved away days at the Boleyn & the pub too. Got a little ribbing but always pleasent & respectful. Now to go with my grandaughter to the LS it evokes many memories of those times & I still have Hammers friends from those days ,very special times indeed. Two of the best anthems in the world, never mind England. They invoke passion & love, only other ones in UK to show that ,are probably Pool ' YNWA ' & Hibs ' Sunshine on Leith '.. A stadium is just a stadium ,it is the supporters that make it a home. It is nothing like the Boleyn but is now becoming a very special place. Kids for a quid,£20 adult specials & Euro packages for the 3 qualifying games this season, have shown a club that care & fans who respect being loved,so they give it back in abundance... Thank you,for your lovely response .🥰🙏..x
The signings of Paqueta, Emerson, Alvarez & Kudus, and now Phillips, which I hope becomes permanent if he stays injury free and can contribute in a positive way, is proving how we have stepped up another level to attract these players. Let’s hope Steidten can source a few more nuggets and Moyes will rotate rather than flogging the ‘chosen few’ to exhaustion.
With proper depth in the squad that can maintain that quality needed for a top 10 finish, then I don't think Moyes would hesitate at all to rotate. But it's also true that certain midfield options will suit us against certain teams, so I think it will also be more strategic, rather than simply just swapping out players from Prem to the European games.
I’m a city fan and I’d say he’s actually the perfect fit for West Ham. Go and watch fourfourtwo video on why he’s perfect. West Ham don’t want the ball but when they get it they play the long ball very quick and KP does exactly that and in fact he’s one of if not the best at winning the ball and then doing something with that to hurt the team whereas we at city play much more slowly and don’t play counter attacking football. Good luck KP and hope this works out for you.
I'm a Man City fan and I wish Kalvin all the best at the Hammers. He's a great player and has been unlucky at City, Rodri his competition. Everyone at City loved him.
Was just about to say the same thing . now ive seen and heard from him talking about us he'll fit right in to our dressing room .stick me neck out and say he's definately not a Lingard pt2 ...
Look after him, get him smiling again on the field and you'll have a warrior on your hands. Good luck to the lad. Leeds fans will always follow where ever this man goes.
Seems like a humble lad. Always admired him when he would boss the midfield for Leeds. Glad we finally got him albeit for 4 months I’m sure he will get stuck in like a proper tough Leeds lad. Come on your Irons ⚒💪🏼
Spurs fan in peace. Great signing for the Hammers, he looks really happy to be there. Hope he hits the ground running for ya's and maybe a permanent signing in the summer ?
Message from Ghana,I just love the direction Hammers are going these days, the choices of players are simply incredible. All the best to Kalvin Phillips 😍
Football is a hard game, but there are players whose natural talent make it look easy. Phillips ability to ping the ball over distance is just a thing of beauty. Combine that with his ability to see the space and exploit it is very good. There were reports that his feet weren't quick enough for City's midfield, that he struggled with the tight intricate play at the back to get out of trouble, but I think a lot of that is about the confidence the manager shows in you. Some players need the pressure to perform, others need the belief and confidence of the manager to perform, and I think Kalvin is one of those. Guardiola is an amazing manager, but the pressure he puts on players is also legendary, and I'm just not sure that was a good fit for the type of player Phillips is. He would have thrived under Ferguson's man management, and Moyes is very similar. He'll get the belief of the manager and I think that will help Phillips to get back to his best, and that speed on the ball will not be an issue. He really has great feet and balance... the amount of time he comes out of 50/50 situations with the ball is testimony to that.
He seems quiet and modest - perhaps he lacked the confidence required to perform at his best among the big name players at City. Hopefully he will feel more at home in the West Ham squad.
We need to give some massive respect to our media team; from Iron Cast pod to RU-vid and then the social media outlets everything has been top tier in the last couple years - long may it continue! Huge thanks to all the team behind the scenes at the club
as long as it doesn't mean paqueta is going to city than this is a great signing. we need to strengthen our team, not trade one great player for another.
Considering they have 115 charges looming over them, I very much doubt he will + they only want him so no one else can have him they literally don’t even need him
The lads have already started calling him Kalvin the Phil, which I think really goes to show just how welcome he is in the squad. Amazing signing, this practically guarantees top 5.
You think so? I think that's a bit optimistic, especially how we've struggled a bit lately and we are without Paqueta for the next six weeks still. I'd be very happy with a European place. I can't see us getting so high though. Chelsea are improving and have a great squad, Man U could also come good. Then there's Brighton, who are having a blinder of a season. And to get 5th, we've have to supplant Villa or Tottenham, which looks difficult. After last season, I'd hope for a comfortable top ten finish and see that as progress. We are building. And I hope fans can see that that takes time. Enjoy the games, hopefully have a good cup run to cheer, and don't worry too much about the position, as long as it is in the top half and we are having some good results along the way.
West Ham have the best front 6 in the premiership in Alvarez, Philips, Prowse, Kudus, Paqueta, Bowen, wow just wow !! ... top 5 yes, top 4 who knows coyi.
Hammers fans enjoy! Us Leeds fans know how good he is in that pivot role he plays... Unfortunately, for KP, Rodri is probably the best midfielder in the world rn so it was tough for him getting in Paqueta, KP and a 3rd in midfield will be silly Hope yous smash it and keep that 6th spot from the Scum
As a lot of other Leeds fans have already said.......I can't think of a better club and a better matching club for Kalvin to come too than West Ham.........Proper old school traditional fight for the shirt kind of club........All the best x
As a City fan I'm sad it didn't work for him at City but he's a decent player and a nice guy... Truly hope it works for him at West ham, great club with great fans ... Good luck kalvin! 😁👍
The forward, welcoming party. Get close to Paqueta so he he knows someone before he comes 🤫 Get in his ear, lad. Promote promote promote! Don't let the other Mancs or, God forbid, the Scousers get in there. Just think Phillips looks so sweet and innocent - bless. 80m is the minimum don't forget 😉 The NW mafia is on the march...
Well at least he has spoken to Moyes before he arrived so he might get a game. Smells like Jarrod might be heading to lone striker so that Kalvin, Pacqueta, Kudus and one from Alvarez / JWP & Soucek can dominate the centre ground
Sincerely wish Kalvin all the best, sorry it didn't work out with us but he always did himself credit by the way he conducted himself. Top man going to a great club.
Always felt sorry for Phillips. Was never going to get the first team at City, he's never been at that level and I don't know why he was bought in the first place for that reason. I think he'll do a good job at West Ham.
Go ahead and play well, being a city fan that the exception level of Guardiola isn't matching with your performance,, but here you feel very pleased as per the expectations of David moyes
Nice bloke, but why, to replace who, JWP ?, he is going to want games to put himself in contention for the euros, and James himself wants to be in the window, I'm not sure what a good move this is to be honest.
Personally I feel like he's not happy to be here but obviously that's my opinion no hate whatsoever I promise but I feel like he just wanted to stay at city and as a Cityzen it's sad that we lost Kalvin but I'm just happy that it's a loan till the end of season we'll obviously miss him but I wish him a very happy journey and success 🙌 ❤
Well glad he probably get game time but he did his best for Leeds an that’s where he belongs an now he’s too shot for us to come back we filled his spot the day he left glad we got rid of this guy
