Middle and low income wages have increased by 3.2% in the last 12 months. Inflation was 2.9% for the last 12 months. At the same time CEO pay and the top 1% earners have seen an 18% average income increase. It's good to be rich. My investment portfolio is up 12% for that last 12 months. Life is good and it's going to be even better after Trump is in jail.

We had first home buyer grants in Australia. All that happened was that it drove prices higher. The government has sinced removed that grant except if it is a new build. That is a better solution as it promotes increased supply which remains the key way to provide housing for people. Not provide more money to just buy the limited supply that exists.
