the pilot in this video is named Kiyoshi Ogawa, he along with another pilot crashed themselves into the USS Bunker Hill. When I read his letter it chokes me up a little due to how emotional is it.

What I find interesting is that surviving kamikaze pilots stated that they didn't want to die, but bring honour to their family and country.

when I enjoyed the dramatic songs, I cried because of Kamikaze pilot's braveness. They accept to sacrifice to prevent the us army from landing in Japan.

My social studies teacher showed this for our current lesson on WW2, an I actually love and respect this song.

My sister's Grandfather's Uncle was a kamikaze pilot.That's very sad he fail and his plane fell into ocean he probably almost hit a carrier but we have no footage for my sister's Grandfather's Uncle. :'(

I have a distant relative who was stationed in Pearl Harbor but was fortunate enough to survive the attack. When I was a teenager, I was privileged to hear a lecture by a kamikaze pilot who miraculously survived. He spoke at length, albeit in a very thick accent, about the measures they took to brainwash him into that willingness to throw away his life. It wasn't filmed and RU-vid didn't exist. Thank you for preserving this bit of wartime propaganda. It's so easy to forget that the suicide pilots weren't born to be weapons, they were just made that way.
