In US news and current events today, baby kangaroos Priscilla & Elliot met adults Sasha & Pimba at the Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs in Australia’s Northern Territory. The 188-acre sanctuary was built in 2011 as a safe haven for orphaned kangaroos. Kangaroos are the world’s largest marsupial. As of 2018 there are approx 42M kangaroos spread across Australia.

The good news is Wallaby's n Roos are hardy lil buugers. If they are uninjured and over 5months old they have an almost 100% survival rescue rate - so every lil guy you just saw will one day be making baby joeys of their own

The Kangaroo Sanctuary is a not-for-profit desert home for wildlife who have nowhere else to go. Most are hand raised orphans protected by a 7-foot tall angel of a man named Brolga. I have had the fortune of visiting and meeting Brolga and once Australia is open to tourists again I heartily recommend it. Learn a lot, meet and hold some kangaroos, and hear about a man who built a place from the ground mostly with his own hands solely to protect the roos. All money from the tours you get from Alice Springs goes to Brolga and his Sanctuary so just going to see the roos one evening can help save some lives. We in Aus cannot wait to open our doors again to all the amazing people that gave to help us with the fires, to everyone that just wants to see us rebuild from this rough year, so get on top of this virus world so we can see you again. Stay safe. With love from all your friends in Australia.

Those kangaroos r so cute!! If u ever get a chance to come to this wonderful country u need to come see our beautiful creatures. And definitely come and get educated about the aboriginals and their traditions too as the country is rightfully theirs and it’s great insight. They have such beautiful places. Once, while crossing Australias Outback by bicycle (5867 km), I saved a baby kangaroo out of its killed mother, where the many other kangaroos had been virtually massacred by cars/road trains. NO single body was entire, only blood and body parts on the road...Impossible not to cry out of anger...impossible. I then saw the feet’s of the baby sticking out of its killed mother. I took it out. It survive and ended in a kangaroo orphanage in Cooper Peddy the same evening....

Joey is the name of baby kangaroos like kittens for cats and puppies for dogs. Wallabies are a similar animal to kangaroos, but smaller with rounder noses.
