this shows kansas really didn’t have a easy run!Creighton played their very very best making every three but kansas still won by 3 possessions

There rarely is one. Most teams are tested at least once. The early tournament tests either become upsets or are then soon forgotten. That's why watching old games is a valuable activity. You remember the full story. Rock Chalk.

Somewhat similar to when UNC played Arkansas in the 2017 Round of 32 (UNC trailed 65-60 with three minutes left and won 72-65).

The two previous tournament games KU played a team that made 12+ 3-pointers against us? We lost by double digits… This game? We won. After KU prevailed, I knew this team was different. THE CHAMPS!

Previous time they met, Kansas won 73-72 in Lawrence (2020 Big East-Big 12). Also noteworthy that Creighton (2012), Providence (2014/2016) and Villanova (2005/2009/2013/2016) all had history with North Carolina in the NCAAT over the last two decades.

Remy Martin should have won MVP of the tournament for KU. He was best when it mattered.

There is no such thing as MVP of the tournament, sadly. But yes, here Big Dave blocked a shot but the ball is up for grabs and Remy was alert enough to position himself for a rebound and boy did he plucked that against big man Feazell no less. Talk about 5'11 vs 6'8 1:18:42

Remy did win the MVP player for the Midwest Region. The MOP for Ochai was for Final Four, but only because Remy didn't have a good game against Nova and the voting for the MOP of the Final Four had to be turned in before the last two minutes of the National Championship, so that's probably why Dave didn't get the MOP over Ochai. Ochai was the MVP of the Jayhawks season, Remy was the MVP of the tournament for Kansas overall and Dave should've been MOP of the Final Four in my opinion.

It's kinda a hard thing to do. I don't completely agree with Ochai getting MOP but no one on KU really stood out. Honestly, I would've given it to McCormack but really it was Wilson who was the most consistent. Remy dropped off a bit in the just couple games but still was a constant threat. All in all, so much fun watching the hawks win it all this year! Great team championship!
