The evolution of the Runaway outro is a legend of live music. Go watch every other tour/performance of Runaway the ending is always different and relevant to the time its being sang in, a little Kanye time capsule in each Runaway performance lol
yea that 15 minute one in Sydney with push is legendary. nothing beats when he premeired the song at the VMA's on '10, mainly cuz i love watching how it FLOORED everyone in attendance
it's how he finds new creative stimulus every time he performs. imagine how boring and soul-sucking it would be to perform the song in exactly the same way every time.
I was there live and I swear the stadium was shaking and everyone was losing their mind rapping along to the lyrics word for word. I’m so blessed to have experienced this live. This was surreal.
This song is everything about having people runaway when you struggle having destructive behaviors. It's a unique self-hate that manifests because you know if you could control them then you could finally feel love. Shit is so deep, Kanye the goat frfr.
I’ll love him for always allowing himself to be vulnerable even when everyone thinks hes crazy. Delusional. Absurd. Hes always himself. No matter what.
That’s the thing that get me about Kanye. He’s always been that way. If you go back and listen to his debut track, “through the wire” he recorded that song after he almost died in a car accident while still having his mouth wired shut. That’s why his jaw is like that. Ye has always been the realest recording artist on par with the likes of Eminem.
Bro after this whole Astro world thing with Trav and Drake at the strip club spending a milli the next day, I’m so grateful Kanye’s still out here being fuckin genuine
@@jonasmewto4661 i dont fw eminem but he definitely does not hold back his emotions from the public. kanye is still much more real if were being honest lmao
I don’t think anyone realizes that he doesn’t have a backtrack (prerecorded sound) or auto tune. This is just straight Kanye singing and still delivering. King.
@@oreogundipe663 no there's definitely better/at least as good performances of his songs in general, but i mean this is probably the best performance of runaway specifically.
Those who have watched Ye from the jump know how true this is, dude turned his life into his art and his art into his life, somewhere along the way he got a little lost
Meanwhile she be fucking a troll lol, dont know what is more said, Kanye performing while kardashian fucking a troll or kardashian fucking a troll while kanye west is emotionally perfoming asking her back.
@@G0LD. ok? Did you know kenye was the one who started this whole thing? Hes the one who started to not give a shit about his family and giving less and less attention. Kim k wanted to file a divorce way back in feb2021 but kenye didnt wanted to. She had enough and obviously got this done now. Why would you even feel sorry for kenye he literally cheated on kim k before the divorce
Is no one gonna talk about how actually good Ye’s live vocals are? For someone who isn’t predominantly a singer or known as one, he has a pretty nice singing voice live.
another great example of that is where he sings the first part of Ghost Town during the Camp Flog Gnaw performance. i was surprised how perfect the vocals were
"Someday I'm gonna make you runaway" jesus that line is so good given the context of him fighting to keep not just is wife but his kids too. The stuttering in his voice adds so much and gives the sense that the situation at hand is breaking him, its tearing him apart. He doesn't wanna start a new family, he wants to keep his current one that he and kim put so much into. This is artistry at work simply beautiful.
Hes done so much wrong in the past, so many mistakes and its all coming back to haunt him. He is fighting his past self to better the future for him, his family, and his wife. I can't say enough on what that end bit adds to runaway.
Keep hearing this version over n over n over again and still cant explain the way he makes me feel such a unique emotion. Like he manages to scratch my soul's balls. And that ending improvisation just blows me (them) up...
the ending will forever hurt on a different level. it’s crazy how you can hear the pain , desperation , and emotion in his voice. im not the biggest fan of the kardashians but man, kim made him happy. i hope that someday they find each other again.
@@varellsihombing9788 over a hour the choir started playing 45 minutes after the concert was supposed to start then they stopped for a while and then they came on around 9:30
@@maike6921 "I need you to run right back to me, run right back to me, I need you to run right back to me, baby, I need you to run right back to me, baby, I need you to run right back to me, baby, I need you to run right back to me, baby, I need you to run right back to me, baby, I need you to run right back baby, more specifically Kimberly"
Ok i'll admit, i'm not the biggest rap fan, and i was doing some research on the Ye and Kim drama as you would at 1AM and damn. this performance moved me to tears, he loves her so much and you can really tell in his voice. i know that there is always two sides to every story, but man my heart hurts for this man. beautiful song.
absolutely moving performance, ive seen a lot of people clowning him on IG saying that "when kim saw kanye singing that last part she changed her name the next day" or some shii like that....y'all gotta remember that kanye has one of the biggest egos in the music industry and for him to perform that piece, basically telling the whole world that he wants his wife back is so powerful, its raw and genuine...yeah it might not have sounded too good but the intention behind is much more powerful
Outro was really great but I totally thought he was gonna transition into Ghost Town at first when he was singing "Someday", that would have been so insane 😭
You clearly do gaf bout drake. Whether it's hating him or not. Look at this whole comment section, everyone is commenting positively unlike you filled with hate. And drake didn't get cooked. He was better lyrically, kdot was jus better in brutality. Y'all won't agree cause you got his di*k upto throat. New bies of hop hop, making kdot look bad.
Let me tell you, the coloseum was shaking! You could feel the music in your soul. The sound was out of this world, tv doesnt do justice. Took my 13 year old son and he couldn't stop crying. It was a surreal event.
If I were Kim, I would cry like hell cause of the last line. Through good things and bad happenings, he keeps growing and gives so many inspirations to this generation. God bless ye and his beloved fam.
Nah, shes the worst thing to ever happen to him-well besides his moms dying. The kids are beautiful but hes stuck with a toxic family and a woman who should have never been a wife
@@THEDOORIZCLOSED and you know that's the truth because you're friends with them I guess 🙄 If he himself said it was his false who you are to say otherwise
New ending lyrics: Run away as fast as you Can Someday I’m gonna make you run away Someday thats what some would say Some man’s gon’ make you run away Someday hes gon make you run away Thats what some would say Thats the Thats what Yeah Someday you gon runaway Someday you gon runaway They say… When And When you runaway baby I need you to run back back to me Run right back to me I need you to run right back to me… baby I need you to run back back to me… baby I need you to run right back to me… baby I need you to run right back to me… baby I need you to run right back to me… baby I need you to run right back to me babe More specifically… Kimberly
I’ve listened and watched this version 1,000 + times. The genius, courage, innocence, honesty, strength, vulnerability and generosity of this complex masterpiece gives my soul life. Ye is a national treasure. Please treat him accordingly! Thank you Mr. West.
He made an already Amazing song twice as good, and that’s a very very very hard thing for artists to do. When you’ve been listening to runaway for years and years, the ending literally feels like an ending to a movie we thought was already finished but years down the line, a new ending comes out and it changes the tone of the movie completely.
I swear this ending is what cemented myself as a Kanye fan. I only listened to 808s, Donda and a bit of Pablo prior to this concert. I then went back to his catalogue and i love Drake but how can u ever compare these 2 in terms of production, bars and content. Graduation hits home to me the most along with MBDTF coming in at a real close second
Same here, but with the whole of Runaway. Always hated or didn't care about him, but after Runaway and Blame Game during tough times with a girl, I fell in love with MBDTF, and his music.
major L, odds are a performance like this never happens again. Never know what you're getting with ye, this was a one off for larry hoover/drake did the setlist, never happens again.
One thing about Kanye, he's always been genuine. We all love his musical catalog, but you could tell his heart wasn't into performing some of his older songs. They don't represent where he is in life at the moment.
I didn’t think this song could be even more sad. The emotions everytime, but this time heightened especially with that last line. I hope things work out for them or at least they both find happiness.
Honestly this performance gave me chills when I first saw it. I nearly cried. Kanye has just that right amount of delusion, heart, and self awareness that just gets to me man. One of the most fascinating people on the planet
There's times I'm over Kanye...the exhausting persona and tantrums have me tuning him out for long periods of time. This is one of the songs that pulls me back in and reminds me "Oh yeah - that's why he's KANYE." As time passes I see it's not self hate as much as it's acceptance after honestly confronting vices and imperfections. Introspective, visceral, beautiful song.
@@lmao9526 he likes to cause drama and be on news all the times, he want that kind of attention and it backfires. Even if you're a fan and love him so much there's no denying of the not good way he presents himself on media.
eren after starting the rumbling be like run away from me baby, runaway! run away from me baby, runaway! when i start to get crazy, why dont you just runaway
@@mimab.1707 he’s always been a somewhat decent singer, but during dondas creation i assume he REALLY started working on his vocals. He’s not the best singer on a technical level, but he’s extremely talented when it comes to the ability to convey emotion in his singing. Like you can FEEL him when he’s signing if that makes sense. It feels like a raw performance with insane passion.
@@mimab.1707this hits hard when you lost your first love. Now all I got is my demons but as a men I accept it and move straight. You should check his 00-10's stuff, thats the best music he made.
When he said Kimberly at the end and looked away all shy I thought that was a really sweet vulnerable moment honestly. He has major balls to sing that ending to Kim and basically asking for her back like that infront of thousands. I respect it I really do You could just tell he was being extremely authentic
I’m sorry so many people don’t understand you Kanye I know your just doing what’s best for the people and those against you are very powerful. But you have god on your side 🙏
Hace un mes aprox que empecé a escuchar a Kanye y esta se convirtió en mi canción favorita es alucinante la letra banda sonora y todo lo que la componen es excepcional 👽
She honestly shouldn’t be violating his privacy by looking at his phone or emails without his permission that is the number 1 form of non physical domestic violence …
This is honestly so cool of him to lay his heart out there like this for the world to see when we all know what he’s going through with his family… you can say whatever u want about him but I have a lotta respect for him
Say what you want, but the fact he didn’t use auto tune with this big of an event. Kanye will always be one of the most unsuspecting greatest artists from the beginning.
